In April 2025, we launched our newest program to create a safe and healthy environment for students in Santa Ana Necoxtla by improving both school facilities and community disaster resilience. We will rebuild and repair essential school infrastructure using sustainable techniques, to create a beautiful and conducive learning space for students and their staff. We will also install Rainwater Harvesting Systems in two schools to address severe water shortages and provide 15 computers to primary and secondary schools, benefiting 422 students and 25 teachers.

On September 7, 2017, one of the most destructive earthquakes in Mexico’s history hit close to the southern state of Chiapas with a devastating magnitude of 8.2. Just 12 days later and a few hundred miles away, a 7.1 magnitude quake rocked central Mexico, toppling buildings, breaking gas mains, knocking out electricity and sparking fires across the city and other towns in central Mexico. Damage was widespread throughout the central and southern parts of the country. AHAH has worked in Oaxaca for the last six programs, where the disaster impacted over 4,000 schools.

No construction skill or experience is needed. If you want to join our team, let us know. We can support you with some fundraising tips and tricks. Email us at corporate-relations@allhandsandhearts.org.

You see them every time you open up a soft drink or soup, sometimes even when you feed your pet. Those tiny little tabs are easy to overlook, but they can make a BIG impact on the families of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte!

Though small, tabs are clean and easy to collect – and they add up fast. RMHC of GC takes tabs to our recycling partner, United Scrap Metal, and exchange the tabs for money for our guest family fund! Although it costs RMHC of GC approximately $130 a night to shelter a family in medical crisis, families are invited to make only a small financial donation, but many cannot afford to contribute anything at all. The money from pop tabs helps to ensure that we are able to accommodate every guest, regardless of their ability to pay.

Formerly known as "Dylan's Run", the event was created to build awareness about Autism in the Milwaukee area and to generate dollars for Autism research and outreach programs. When the event began in 2001, the rate of Autism was 1 out of 500 children.  We wanted to highlight the disability and allow families and individuals affected by Autism to have an opportunity to come together and show their support for each other.  That first year resulted in 354 participants and has grown in media support, financial support and participant support to become largest single-day gathering to support Autism in Wisconsin.

NOW - With your help we will continue that growth into the A-Team Fun Walk/Run for Autism!  We need to continue what we’ve started. The incidence of Autism is now 1 in 54 per the Centers for Disease Control, 2020.  As a result, the number of families needing support is growing.

Most participants of this event have been fundraising to help our neighbors, our schools, our public safety officers and our entire community through our programs and services.

Meetings are structured and informed through the use of a Consent Agenda process, which promotes advanced review of topical materials and efficient use of Board meeting time.

Current Skills or Attributes Desired: Regarding expertise, the following areas of academic, professional, and/or personal experience are highly sought: education, intercultural studies, law, finance, fundraising, human resources, organizational leadership, business ownership, community familiarity and participation, and volunteerism.
