Our job as a foundation has never been more vital - with a conservative estimation of over 35% of the US population affected by liver disease affecting everyone, including children. Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease/ Steatohepatitis is among the fastest growing pandemics we have seen. Please help us to continue our vital education and outreach efforts to make a difference to those affected by the more than 100 known forms of liver disease. The Desert Southwest Division of the American Liver Foundation is dedicated to our mission – to promote education, advocacy, support services and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease. With the support of donors like you, the American Liver Foundation was able to launch a National Patient Advisory Committee (NPAC), expand Support Services and Public Education through expanded national helpline hours and additional educational materials, and work on the Know Your Dose campaign whose goal is to educate the public about the safe use of medications that contain acetaminophen.
The Liver Life Walk Tucson & Celebration of Life is our opportunity to bring the community together for a day filled with entertainment, refreshments, and free health screenings. Local agencies working with families fighting against liver disease will be present to provide support and education.

The Gilbert Fall Invitational is a competition among the top 30 marching bands in all of Arizona. Not only does this help our Band Programs at Gilbert High School, but also gives a venue for many youth groups in Arizona to come, perform, be judged, and learn how to better their routines. These groups spend many hours practicing and learning how to dance, catch a rifle, spin a flag, toss a saber, play instruments, and choreograph to music. Money earned goes back into the GHS Band Programs, allowing many kids in Gilbert to participate on a team, further their talents, entertain and compete.Available Shifts

Fort Bend History Association’s signature experience – the 36 annual Texian Market Days festival is quickly approaching! Scheduled for Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 at the George Ranch Historical Park, this event celebrates our history and the people, places and events that have shaped the county where we all live, work, and play. TMD showcases nearly 200 years of Texas history, starting with the original 300 settlers who set the stage for what our county, state and country would become. This event draws nearly 6,000 attendees annually and we invite you to participate as volunteers to help make this event happen.Your support will help our pioneer re-enactors make cornbread from scratch, provide lasso lessons from our cowboys, unearth artifacts in an archaeology dig, make a battle reenactment possible, and allow us to present the Dr. Bushrod’s Medicine Show to festival goers. TMD is a living link to the sights and sounds of more than a century of Texas and county history. Will you show your Fort Bend County pride by being a volunteer?

OGPC is a non-profit STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Design, Mathematics) advocacy organization that runs an annual competition for 6-12 graders and runs solely on donations. All positions are volunteer. We are looking for an accountant that can help us to keep our books in order and ensure that we are in compliance with state and federal regulations and reporting requirements. Our organization runs on around $10,000/year and there is no payroll. We are able to supply a license for QuickBooks though we are not tied to a specific product. Our needs are likely fairly minimal due to our small size. Keeping track of purchases, sponsorship money, fees/registrations from teams, and the standard related bookkeeping reports would comprise the bulk of the work. Annual filings, and occasional accounting-related advice would also be part of it.If this is something you are interested in, we'd love to hear from you!
