Education to every one is the dream of the poor children and the poor parents. But if a middle class child studying in a school his/her education is interrupted to the sudden poverty in the family it’s really very bad situation. The same situation arises to a female child.

Bhavishya, a girl child who is studying 10th std in Managiri at Madurai district of Tamilnadu,India. She is a low middle class child. Her Mother is a physically challenged Woman. She wants to make her daughter to be good literate. Her father was worked in Dubai as clerk who earned Rs. 15000/- per month. Due to the economic crisis all over the world he didn’t get the salary for 6 months from the company from October 2018 to Mar 2018. Due to the recession the company send nearly 50 members to their home town without settle the benefits and the salary. Her father is one among them. From March 2019 he is jobless. The family facing the poverty. After reached India he is working as a daily wage employee in Madurai. Her mother is helpless because of her immovability, but she is taking free tuitions for small children from the home.
Due to COVID-19 lock down both are jobless and suffered by poverty. Their one and only child is now in the situation of discontinue her studies due to inability of paying her school fees. Now they need support to continue her higher secondary School education for two years. Here, not only Bhavishya, more than 15students are there. They are looking out for the kind hearted people to help a poor female child’s education continuation.

Important:

Zu der Aufgabe gehört auch die Begleitung eines Jugendcamps und die Mitwirkung an der Durchführung von Schülerworkshops. Mittelfristiges Ziel ist der Betrieb der Gedenkstätte durch Jugendliche.
Die Gedenkstätte Sophienkirche steht als hochmoderner Glaskubus im historischen Zentrum von Dresden. Sie erinnert an die Geschichte der Sophienkirche, der einst ältesten Kirche Dresdens, die nach Kriegszerstörungen unter Protest der Bewohner Dresdens auf Geheiß der SED abgetragen wurde. In dem nunmehr weltlichen Denkraum Befinden sich Relikte der Sophienkirche und eine Ausstellung zu ihrer Geschichte. In der Gedenkstätte werden aber auch Lesungen, philosophische Gespräche und kleine Konzerte mit 70 Gästen stattfinden. Die Nagelkreuzgemeinschaft wird Workshops mit dem Thema Versöhnung durchführen.
Da der Denkraum nur von Ostern bis zum Reformationstag geöffnet ist, bereitet der Freiwilligendienst auch die Projektarbeit mit den Schulen und Kirchengemeinden vor und sorgt für geeignete Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.

The purpose of this activity is to give underprivileged children an opportunity to acquire relevant skills for the 21st century with increased employability from experts. Belonging to the marginalised strata of society with minimal access to resources and
trained faculty , they do not stand a chance to get into the work force required for country's expanding needs. Volunteers can not only train them in relevant skills but also provide guidance and counselling to choose the right path to move ahead.

Training programs through volunteering can be held online in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for the students of grades 6th -12th five days a week at the time of your convenience. Similar training is also required for our untrained faculty members so that the training programs can be carried forward without break.

Prestasi Junior Indonesia is currently delivering many of its education programs online. Schools are currently closed and students are required to learn from home. Moving into a third month of school closure many students are lacking motivation to learn as current strategies applied by many teachers lack innovation and do not engage their students.
We are looking for business volunteers who can assist in making the learning experience more engaging and, therefore, more enjoyable. Using zoom and its break-out rooms we will enable business volunteers to become engaged with students involved in the JA Company Program. Selected schools operate their own small business operations, driven by students, and supervised by our team at Prestasi Junior. We coordinate volunteer engagement with students in an effort to improve the operations of the school based enterprises - all undertaken online.
Our volunteers are great communicators and are able to engage and motivate 15 - 16 year old students to build their businesses and succeed. Some business knowledge would be helpful but is not absolutely necessary. We usually work with young people representative of middle or lower economic backgrounds who respond extremely well to support from business volunteers. Some of our company program students even have proficiency in English and, if volunteers are unable to speak Bahasa Indonesia, our staff will be engaged in support of volunteers getting their message across to beneficiaries.
It is very important to 'ramp up' the online education strategy to ensure students maximize the opportunity to learn about applied business. With the assistance of enthusiastic volunteers we are able to ensure this happens.

Online volunteering during covid 19

Given the need for social distancing in the times of Covid19, we are moving our teaching module to online and are offering those interested in interacting with children & youth an opportunity to teach them at a time mutually convenient for both volunteer and students.

A volunteer will be connected to one/two students, interaction to be twice a week ideally lasting 30 to 45 minutes. Content and training will be provided by AXF

What can you teach:

1. Any subject in the SSC curriculum for grades 8 to 12. Teaching to be done in Hindi and English mix as students have a limited understanding of English. This is the choice for which you are most likely to find willing students presently.

Referring to text books in both Hindi and English helps in preparing a lesson. Sending preparatory videos/worksheets for a concept for self study by student before embarking on the lesson is advised.

2. Teaching English or Math concepts as per AXF curriculum to students from grades 6 to 8, where required if a student in a higher grade has a weaker grasp on concepts, you can use the AXF curriculum to help bridge his/her learning level while also helping them complete school work, which they feel is more important but since the grade level is much higher than their ability, working at that level does not help in the learning process, more time should be spend on building their basics simultaneously.

5. Teaching art /craft/ engaging children through story telling and discussion
