Throughout the week we split the kids up and do team building, volleyball tournaments, kickball, life skill classes, character building, art, financial literacy, and youth entrepreneurship. We could use volunteers to fill in on ANY of those activities. More volunteers would give us the ability to break the kids up into smaller groups, so the interactions can be more personal. So there is no limit to the amount of volunteers interested, but consistency is the most important thing. If someone commits to a Tuesday we expect them to be there every Tuesday. It just helps with planning.
In addition, we are looking for volunteers who can bring their skills and interest to the academy. We have allotted time for new ideas if it is something the kids would be interested in. Programs such as Robotics, Athletics (girls basketball coach, Step/dance team), music, graphic design, IT, coding, journalism...That being said these programs would need to be elementary level.

We are looking for volunteers passionate about impacting the youth here at Bright Futures and willingness to jump in and be ready to do whatever activity we have planned for the day.

It is a free (donations welcome) maker-type event for the entire Petaluma/Sonoma County community. We expect over 600 people to take part in our art or science-centric, hands-on activities, provided and run by River Montessori family and community member volunteers.

The Creator Faire is an opportunity for our entire community to discover, collaborate, to make (and unmake), to learn and to play!
