At Capital One/ Junior Achievement Finance Park each student becomes “an adult for the day” in an electronic simulation. The students are assigned a life scenario so they can experience firsthand the real-life challenges of making personal budgeting decisions. After calculating their net monthly income and savings goals, students visit kiosks that represent different budget categories such housing, health insurance, groceries, and utilities. Anyone with real world monthly budgeting experience can become a volunteer. JA Finance Park Volunteers play a key role by helping the students understand the concepts of personal financial planning and career exploration. Volunteers provide guidance and assistance while monitoring and verifying students’ work.

Clinton ABC has vision of preparing talented students of color for positions of responsibility and leadership in American society. For more than 40 years, people in Clinton and the Mohawk Valley have opened their hearts and homes as teachers, mentors, host families, coaches and especially as friends to the ABC scholars enrolled at Clinton High School. In turn, these extraordinary young men have contributed their talents, skills and perspectives in the classroom, on stage, on the field and in our community.

Childline helps children and young people 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Becoming a Childline volunteer means being there when a child needs you the most. Just 4 hours out of your week can help thousands of children and young people. Sometimes all they need is someone like you who has the time to listen.

We also have a brand-new email counselling role: you can make a difference by answering emails from children and young people who need help and support

The Cheerleaders are sponsoring a dinner to raise money for new uniforms during parent teacher conferences. Volunteers would be beneficial because parents will be running in and out and I have to be available for conferences.

Opportunity Details

The BOO-t-Out is a Halloween soccer tournament for area youth soccer teams, U10 to U15.
The money raised benefits the Williamsport Soccer Booster Club. Funds will be used for the middle and high school soccer players (boys and girls), for equipment and training and off-season camp opportunities. Last year, we were able to help fund the cost per player for Bucknell University's team soccer camp and a Lycoming mini-camp.

Volunteers for this event are there to support Williamsport soccer coaches and players who help monitor the games that go on throughout the day. We have a concession stand open all day for all the participants and their families.
