The 14th Annual Fremont Run 4 Education is coming up quickly! Last year, we had a successful event where we doubled the attendance from the previous year with well over 800 runners, had over 35 sponsors who participated in a vibrant community expo, and featured Mike Inouye of NBC News and our own local hometown hero Brandon Sass as MC’s. We expect our 14th Anniversary to be even bigger and better! This year, the Run will take place on Sunday, October 28th at Quarry Lakes Recreational Area. All funds raised go directly to Fremont Education Foundation’s Guy Emanuele Sports Fund (GESF).

The Amherst Band Boosters holds an annual steak fry to raise money for the various bands at Amherst schools located in Amherst Ohio. This fundraiser goes to help the marching band and the symphonic bands with educational and operational expenses throughout the year. The Amherst Band Boosters supports students in grades 5 through 12.

Looking for volunteers who like to work with children in an innovative environment with accessible robotics for beginners & advanced levels!!!

On Saturday the 24th of November and Sunday the 25th of November, RobotWise will be present at the tech-fest of the curious Netherlands, Bright Day at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht.
About 10,000 people per day will be visiting this event, primarily families with children between the ages of 8 and 13 years old.

RobotWise will be hosting our ‘Robot Playground’ and of course we plan to make it an event to remember.
We are the first ‘Robot Playground’ in the Netherlands, where children can play and discover the largest assortment of robots & programming activities, along with the newest and most innovative technologies.

RobotWise is looking for organisations & volunteers that are open and willing to sponsor our event at Bright Day, by financial and/ or material means.

Volunteers:
We are providing a robot playground for 50 kids every hour. Therefore we need a lot of volunteers to facilitate that the kids can play with all kind off different robot activities.
RobotWise has a standard program but need some volunteers to work together with the kids.
You do not need any knowledge off technology, but love to work with kids :) .

Day and time: Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of November from 8.30 - 18.00 or half days.

The Backpack Run is a professionally timed 5k/10k fundraiser for The Backpack
Program at Indian River CSD. In the past three years this event has raised over $10,000 to support The Backpack Program. Every week of the school year The Backpack Program sends a backpack full of food home with a student in need- not only does this support the nutritional needs of local families but this effort makes a huge difference in a child’s ability to focus, learn, and develop. Kohl’s team members looking to give back to the community by joining us as volunteers at this event not only ensures a smooth and organized 5k/10k but also helps provide a positive atmosphere and creates a high quality event for this fundraiser. We really enjoyed having Kohl's with us last year at the Backpack Run helping with t-shirts and post race food- we would love to have you with us again this year! This event will take place rain or shine so please come prepared to be comfortable. Feel free to stick around after the event to enjoy the Theresa Fall Festival!

The Conquest Marching Band Competition is hosted at Allatoona High School in Acworth, GA. The Conquest will feature a marvelous array of marching bands from around the Region competing for the grand championship. Volunteer opportunities are for 3 hour shifts and include concessions, ticket sales, and logistics.
