Judges are tasked with reviewing the submissions and providing evaluations based on the NFTE WSI rubric. Each submission will be evaluated by multiple judges to ensure parity and all scores will be averaged to establish the ranking of entries and determine the ten finalists. Judging Window: Monday, January 15, 2024 through Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:59 PM EST
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours, you will have the option to sign up for the date and time that works best for you once you express interest in the volunteer opportunity. Please note you will have from January 15, 2024 through January 26, 2024 to evaluate the submissions at your own pace.
*PLEASE NOTE: Although judging may take you 2 to 3 hours total, it does not need to be done all at once. You can save your progress as you work; you will have 11 days to complete your scoring. First round judging begins on January 15 and ends on January 26. However, for tracking and data purposes, we need you to select a 3-hour time window. Once you have registered as a judge, NFTE will send you prep materials, a confirmation email, and calendar invite. A few days before the judging window opens, the NFTE Team will send you login credentials for the judging platform.

We need volunteers to supervise and mentor participants in our after school riding program. Havenwood Equestrian Center teaches underprivileged teenagers to develop confidence, strength, and direction by learning to work with horses at our beautiful Montgomery County riding facility. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we offer a free after-school program for high school students that combines horseback riding, animal care, academic tutoring, and adult mentorship. Our vision is to provide an enriching environment in which participants can discover their best selves and move confidently toward a bright future.

2. Mobilisez le réseau des marraines de l'académie autour de cafés / déjeuners / réunions pour échanger et partager les bonnes pratiques.
3. Organisez des visites de sites pour les binômes Marraine-Filleule.
L'engagement vaut pour une année scolaire :
-animation des ateliers: environ 1 jour
-réunions/cafés avec les marraines : entre 2 à 3 jours.
