FIRST Chesapeake uses robots as the vehicle to bring Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) based leadership opportunities to youth.

The FIRST Robotics Competitions we host are fast-paced, fun, combining the thrill of sport with the rigors of science and technology!

Volunteers are the key to our success. Whether your skills are technical or not, or even a bit rusty, we can use your help. Being a volunteer Judge is a great way to get to know tomorrow’s technology leaders. You will meet with teams of high school students to learn more about their robots, their strategies, and what they’re doing within their communities.

~Two Exciting Days of Volunteering~
In the mornings you will be teamed up with other like-minded professionals and interview the robotics teams. In the afternoons you will deliberate with your fellow judges and choose the winners across multiple awards. You then help present the awards at the big awards ceremony at the end!

~We Provide Your Training and More~
No robotics experience is required! We make sure our judges are well-prepared for their important roles. You will have about 2 hours of online training, along with an online meeting with your Judge Advisor prior to the event. We will provide you with a blue judge's polo, along with breakfast, lunch and snacks both days.
