At JA Finance Park presented by the USAA Foundation, each student becomes “an adult for the day” in an electronic simulation. The students are assigned a life scenario so they can experience firsthand the real-life challenges of making personal budgeting decisions. After calculating their net monthly income and savings goals, students visit kiosks that represent different budget categories such housing, health insurance, groceries, and utilities. Anyone with real world monthly budgeting experience can become a volunteer. JA Finance Park Volunteers play a key role by helping the students understand the concepts of personal financial planning and career exploration. Volunteers provide guidance and assistance while monitoring and verifying students’ work.

Opportunity Details

The annual bowling classic is Junior Achievement of Tri-Cities largest fundraiser of the year. Monies raised from this event are used to support financial education in grades K-12 in the greater Tri-Cities area. Education programs focus on work force readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.
Volunteers will work at the bowling event as door greeters, managing prize table, photographer's assistant, or helping staff as needed.

Opportunity Details

This evening is to celebrate the accomplishments of all the Sections of the Music Department. We will serve a dinner and dessert to all attendees (students, their families, and special guests). After the dinner hour we will move from the Atrium to the Auditorium for the end of year awards, scholarship awards, etc. We are in need of assistance with setting up the buffet area, service of the food, and clean up after the meal. Volunteers will be able to have dinner with us as well during the "roast" time before clean up.
