About Pandemic Professors:
Pandemic Professors is a nonprofit organization that offers free tutoring and mentorship to underserved students in low-income communities. The service was created to bridge the education gap caused by e-learning and the pandemic. We are a 100% volunteer- run organization and we do not have any paid positions.
We are spreading the word about our services and improving our communication to tutors and families that are already part of our community. We would like a Market Research Lead to join our team who is passionate about social good, education, and social media to help us build a stronger online presence.
You will:
-Manage a team of volunteers and interns in developing and executing key research projects pertaining to our key audiences: students and families, tutors, donors, staff/volunteers, and partner organizations
-Provide bi-weekly updates on Market Research projects and findings to the cross-functional Marketing Squad
-Partner with Brand Strategy Lead to design and provide key research needs in the building and evolving of our brand
-Interpret data, formulate reports, and lead the team in post-campaign analysis to provide recommendations that set our brand up for success across future marketing campaigns, social media, and overall brand equity
-Leads weekly Market Research team meetings on Wednesdays at 12PM PT, 3PM ET
-Report to Head of Marketing and Director of Marketing & Communications
Preferred Qualifications:
-Excellent communication skills
-Experience in market research and knowledge of social media success metrics
-Desire to grow to be a strong manager who can lead a team to group and individual success
-Strong project management and organizational skills
-Experience working with nonprofits is a plus.
-Experience working with students and parents or experience tutoring is a plus.

- Work with teams for 6 months, spending roughly 50 hours helping them develop their ideas;
- Recruit and supervise teams of girls as they create apps to solve community problems;
- Coordinate meeting times with your teams
Most importantly, empower the students to solve problems on their own by modelling problem- solving skills. You don't need to know all the answers, but instead, should aim to teach behavior and attitudes that build confidence.

Classroom volunteers commit to teaching 2x a week for 60-90 minutes from September through June on site at a high school. Morning and afternoon placements are available.

Saturday Live is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools to benefit all Billings Public Schools and feeder schools. It is huge event that raises thousands of dollars each year for school groups, school supplies, playground equipment, or whatever a school may need. Volunteers will assist with final registration for the Saturday Live Fun Run. The Fun Run is held on the morning of September 18th and kicks off Saturday Live. Volunteers will act as course guides to help youth and families stay on the proper running trail and to stay safe. We are looking for volunteers who share our passion for educating kids in foster care. You do not need a background in education or foster care to apply. Our volunteers are former teachers, stay at home moms, accountants, lawyers, retirees, and many others who just want to help a child in foster care succeed. If you are able to commit to at least one hour a week and be a consistent, reliable, positive adult presence in a student’s life, we have a place for you. We will match you with students you are comfortable tutoring, according to grade level and subject matter. Whether you are interested in helping a kindergartner learn his colors or a high schooler build her confidence in math, we have a spot for you.This opportunity is available only for volunteers in Travis, Williamson and Hays counties of Texas.

2. After you complete and submit the application to volunteer, we will call you to set up a virtual interview.
3. Once references are checked, you will attend a two hour virtual training. We’ll teach you about the foster care system, and trauma-informed care. The training also includes guidance on how to work with families and students, an overview of typical grade-level skills and knowledge, and ideas and strategies for sessions.
4. Once we find you a match, we run a background check and facilitate an introductory meeting with the student and family.
