The purpose of this activity is to give underprivileged children an opportunity to acquire relevant skills for the 21st century with increased employability from experts. Belonging to the marginalised strata of society with minimal access to resources and
trained faculty , they do not stand a chance to get into the work force required for country's expanding needs. Volunteers can not only train them in relevant skills but also provide guidance and counselling to choose the right path to move ahead.

Training programs through volunteering can be held online in different fields related to Computer Science, Math, Communication Skills and Physics and Chemistry for the students. Similar training is also required for our untrained faculty members so that the training programs can be carried forward without break.

Prakash Deep is looking for volunteers who can take one hour class once a week for 25 of our faculty members in English Communication and Computer Science training.

Similarly training sessions in Computer Science, English Communication , Math, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for our senior students (6th to 12th grade) numbering around 100 of one hour duration five days a week at a time of their convenience.

The mission of the Virginia Hispanic Foundation is to support the aspiration of Hispanic students on their journey to be productive and successful leaders in the community through education and mentorship. The Hispanic community represents 20% of the population in the U.S. and students ages 5-19 are the largest age group. Hispanic students under perform non-Hispanic students across many academic outcomes, have the highest risk of dropping out due to language barriers, lack of resources, and entering the workforce at a young age to help support their families. A “familia-family style” form of group leadership mentoring for Hispanic elementary, middle and high school students. Held during the school day for 1 hour. Volunteers are trained to be leadership coaches who present bilingual leadership lessons with students that are provided during each session. Studies have shown that at risk students were successful in school when they had the support of a caring adult who showed interest in them.
*Programs may also include focusing and de-stressing techniques implemented through mindfulness/yoga activities in the sessions, and Hispanic guest speakers who inspire students to their next level of achievement.
