Key to having a highly engaged user base on the Cool site is optimising the experience to be specific to the user’s interests. At the moment, there is no way for users to set up their preferences with regards to content (subjects, year-levels, etc). Therefore, a system whereby our users can set up their preferences and view targeted content is required, along with the comms to keep users engaged with new and related content.Goal: Optimise the Cool UX to create a greater number of highly engaged users who return to the site regularly and see Cool as their first stop in lesson planning.
Measurements:
-Site traffic and download statistics will be used to measure an increase in user engagement.
-New methods of marketing content are developed and tested per user preferences.
-User profiles of preferences can be created per user and stored in the user database.
Indicators of achievement:
-Resource download numbers and site traffic increases beyond current levels and maintains consistently higher figures ongoing.
-Marketing campaigns show an obvious correlation between time of delivery an increase in site traffic and resource downloads.
-A user profile is created and maintained on the user database.
-The user profile is used to guide content marketing efforts and shows obvious improvements to site engagement.

Cool 2.0 is our project to build a new website with additional functionality and optimised UX, including a full rebrand and change in domain, coolaustralia.org to cool.org. We are investing heavily in this project and require assistance to ensure we transition in a way that fixes existing issues with our data and optimises data capture and use.-Reviewing our existing database
-Assisting us with some technical specifications
-Providing some transformation advice
-Meet with our team and our vendor to ensure our developers have what they need to deliver the right solution.
Timeframe: ASAP to feed into Cool 2.0 (Cool 2.0 is our project to build a new website with additional functionality and optimised UX, including a full rebrand and change in domain, coolaustralia.org to cool.org).
As an organisation where content marketing is as equally important to our operational objectives as the production of the highest quality educational content, being able to capitalise on our database of users to better share our content with them in a meaningful, engaging way is a top priority. For our users, we should be able to communicate with them in a way that will enhance their user experience and lead them to better, more relevant content. For our funding partners, we should be able to analyse, evaluate and report on the performance of the educational content they have funded in a way that gives meaning and considered insights on the value added by our content.
At present, we have three databases providing data with which we will create segmented email campaigns and report to partners on the performance of the lessons they have funded but, due to legacy issues and the capacity of the platforms used to analyse the respective databases, the data we use is of relatively minor use to us from a communications perspective and of superficial value to our partners.
To truly achieve our operational objectives of providing our user base with the content they want to see and in a format, they are going to pay attention to, and to report to our partners in a meaningful and insightful way, we need to be able to better understand what gold is hidden within our databases, what the limitations are of the data we have and guidance on ways to optimise the use of the data.
Goal: Get a better handle on the data we have and what we should be aiming for in the short term, as well as the move to Cool 2.0.
Measurements: Note: these measures are somewhat vague at present because we don’t really know what we don’t know when it comes to our database and its potential.
-The time taken to extract useful data from databases is reduced.
-The volume of ‘useful’ data increases beyond what we currently have and use.
-Available data is leveraged to increase site traffic by at least 15%.
Indicators of achievement:
-The Cool Team is better able to extract useful data from databases to be used in user communications and partner reporting.
-The Cool Team knows the limitations of the existing databases and is able to proactively address these in the development of Cool 2.0.
-Future databases are optimised to provide the data required to communicate with our users better and report to funding partners in a more authentic way.

The main role of a Mentor is to help Ninjas through the basics of coding and to assist them in their own self led learning by creating their own projects. CoderDojo’s learning philosophy is inherently project based so Ninjas will work on their own ideas and apply them to websites, games etc.A CoderDojo Mentor is a technically skilled individual who guides CoderDojo attendees (Ninjas) and facilitates their learning. As Dojos are set up and run by volunteers, each will have a different set of skills and way of learning available to them.

Once you are paired with a child, your sessions only take 30 minutes a week, and our fun interactive training sessions will help you be successful.
Books open children’s minds to a world of possibilities and give them the tools they need to dream bigger. And you can inspire that within them through mentoring!

The Club is expecting to stay open, even if the Camden School District goes to Virtual Learning, therefore we will need to replenish the school supplies we distributed to families on March 17th when we went to our Stay At Home Order. Since then, we distributed all our games, books, toys and have done numerous food distributions and provided much needed cleaning supplies to a dozen families in severe need. We will be doing a Shoe Drive Fundraiser, so collecting new and gently used shoes would be extremely helpful. If we can have someone help coordinate and get the word out that would be ideal. We need more cleaning supplies to give to our needy families. Making cards and encouraging pictures/messages for the children & families about wearing masks, washing hands and social distancing is really important! Please help us slow the spread of COVID-19 and fill the needs in Camden. Thank you!Available Shifts
