Our annual Spring Festival & Plant Sale is an event for the entire community. It is the club's biggest community event to raise scholarship funds for local high school and college students. This will be our 6th year doing this event and each year it grows and more scholarship funds are given to the local high school and college students that qualify. The event is Saturday April 7, 2018 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at Central Park at Palm Coast Town Center. This one day event will feature a major plant sale, vendors, specialty plant growers, educational series & exhibits, children’s activities, great food, music and much more.Available Shifts

Opportunity Details
The Music Miles 5k is a fun chipped time event for all ages and fitness levels. It helps raise funds for the Keller Indian Band and their journey to the Macy's Day Parade in New York City in November, 2018. Participants may choose to run, jog or walk the course at their own pace. Strollers are welcome, but due to insurance restrictions, pets are not allowed on the course.Available Shifts

JA Business Challenge is an online business strategy competition where high school students work alongside a business professional where they vie for bragging rights and post-secondary schloarships. The top teams will take away scholarships for their skill in creating a successful business model. The event is also a fundraiser that will allow Junior Achievement to impact additional students this school year as they learn about financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness in the classroom.Available Shifts

The annual bowl-a-thon is Junior Achievement of Tri-Cities largest fundraiser of the year. Monies raised from this event are used to support financial education in grades K-12 in the greater Tri-Cities area. Education programs focus on work force readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.Volunteers will work at the bowling event as door greeters, managing prize table, photographer's assistant, or assisting staff as needed.

On April 28th 2018, Friends of Richmond Community High School will be hosting a work day to rebuild an existing greenhouse for ecological studies for the students and establishing a neighborhood community gardens for Northside residents. Opportunities for volunteers will include working in the Cannon Creek Nature Trails, helping with recycling projects, renovating the greenhouse, building picnic tables, building a putt putt green, and helping to restore low income residents homes.Available Shifts

Strafford Learning Center, in partnership with NH Vocational Rehabilitation, is hosting a Work Readiness Event for New Hampshire High School Students who have disabilities or chronic health conditions. The goal of this annual event is to provide valuable employment preparation activities and opportunities to high school students who may need extra preparation due to a disability or health condition in order to successfully pursue or maintain employment after high school.At this event, students from multiple school districts will participate in four Professional Growth Workshops, a Resume Writing Lab and one mock interview where they will receive immediate and valuable feedback on their interview performance.
Local business professionals and/or experts in their fields volunteer their time to conduct the Professional Growth workshops, Resume Writing Lab and mock interviews.
Volunteers are currently being sought to conduct student mock interviews and assist with general duties throughout the event. A lunch will be provided to all volunteers.
