The First Annual Columbus Tustin Fun Run will take place Friday, March 29th on the Columbus Tustin Middle School campus. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. as the students will be running during their PE period. The Fun Run is designed to impact the school in three ways:
• First, to be a successful fundraiser that will allow the PTO to continue to support key initiatives for the student and staff community at CT.
• Second, to build upon our school community and the ownership the students feel toward their school. We have individual and class incentives to encourage participation at various contribution thresholds beginning at $10. Our goal is to have 75% of the students participate in the Fun Run.
• Lastly, our event supports our health and wellness goals by encouraging students to run more than a mile during their PE period competition.
Our PTO helps fund valuable programs such as:
• Academic/Leadership projects: Robotics, Science, AVID (college prep), PBIS (Behavior intervention), PAL (Peer Assistance Leader)
• Student recognition: Bull Dog Pride Luncheons, Honor Roll ceremonies, 8th
• grade promotion
• Music program: Music books, new instruments & instrument repairs. The program is comprised of Band, Orchestra and Choir classes.
• School wide events which build a better CT Community
• Campus wide improvements
Community partners are a key part of our success!
