To provide a multicultural setting where girls coming from different socio-economic backgrounds and regions meet and share
To support gender equality by demonstrating the girls that they can use their physical strength too
Project Activities
July 2017 marked the third year of the project.
The girls receive intensive training and education during the camps which include experimental learning, emotional intelligence, orienteering, leadership and group work, problem solving, negotiation skills, physical activities such as camping, yoga, running, high (rope) trekking adventures, diving, swimming in the sea, cycling, trekking, sailing and artistic and self-development activities such as dancing, painting, and creative drama.
Also, during the program week, three modules called “Communication is an art”, “Who am I” and “The future tree” are introduced to the participants.

This spring we have the opportunity to host our annual Spring Football game vs Ida Baker HS. We are inviting the whole community, especially rising 9th graders to be a part of their new school. Int he Fall, Hurricane Irma ravaged our season with a financial impact of nearly $20,000. The support of volunteers and community will directly enhance our ability to purchase uniforms and equipment for the 2018 School Year.Available Shifts

Opportunity Details
New Hampshire Soap Box Derby's 76th Local Championship Race – racers from New Hampshire, southern Maine, and southern Vermont compete in one of three divisions (Stock, Super Stock, Masters). Each division winner is a Local race champion and qualifies to race in the First Energy All-American Soap Box Derby World Championship against other Local Champions in July in Akron OH.The volunteer positions available are for jobs required to conduct a smooth running race event.

A fundraising event sponsored by Landmark Ford/Lincoln to advertise their Lincoln Vehicles. IT is NOT a sales event. We earn money for each test drive that is taken. We have a goal of 300 test drives. The test drive is approximately 15 mins. near Tualatin High School. The test drive is taken with a Tualatin Volunteer not a sales person. This event includes a lovely luncheon, fashion show and silent auction. We also recognize the superlative contributions of the "Volunteer of the Year" of our organization, as well as that of other organizations in our community.The mission of the Friends of Music is to support music and music education in our community. We do this by utilizing the funds raised from this event to support the concerts we put on and donating to the public middle and high school music departments for items needed, but not funded by the school budgets.
Volunteers will be performing functions such as greeting guests, selling raffle tickets, handing out programs, etc.
