• You can influence an at-risk high school student and show them the power of a college education and motivate them to see why it is important to achieve their degree.

• Host a Career Shadow at your place of employment for the student and their mentor or C.H.O.I.C.E. Program Staff, during the final week of this project, which will include a short presentation developed by the student.

• What do you do? Have 3 conversations over the phone or in person with the student and their mentor. And 1 in person meeting, which is the Career Shadow!

• You can work with an at risk high school student who has the motivation and drive to learn real job skills and is working very hard to go to college.

• The skills and learnings during the 9 week Research a Business project is a major catalyst into the next week project where the student and mentor work together in the Create Your Own Business Project.

• The opportunity to become a Business Champion, allows for growth and development in the students and their mentors. Together we are opening possibilities for less fortunate students.
