For the past 25 years, the Taft Raider Band Boosters have provided volunteer staffing as monitors at the exhibit entrances for the Texas Music Educator's Association (TMEA) Convention at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in downtown San Antonio. This convention is the largest convention in San Antonio and is celebrating it's 100th year. With such an amazing accomplishment they are expecting approximately 20,000 people. The contribution allows for the purchase of band equipment, instruments, clinicians and anything that is needed to support our students within the program. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age or older. We hope that you help us reach our goal!If you signup for this event, please also enter your email address in the appropriate shift on the below link so that we can send additional info, especially any last minute changes.

Are you ready to spend a day making a difference in a young person's life? April 15th, over 2,000 college students will attend the 2019 International Career Development Conferences (ICDC) in Orlando, FL as part of their DECA experience. Professionals provide motivation and inspiration for these young people to move forward on their college and career paths. This experience includes participating in the finals of our role-play business competitions. These students have qualified to compete in this once in a lifetime opportunity based on their superior performance at local and state events. We need 100 professionals, like you, to serve as judges for the culmination of these competitions. Your time and experience are critical to the "real world" learning experience DECA provides to these driven young people. Will you take part in this life-changing volunteer experience?
Volunteers receive breakfast/lunch, complimentary parking, a gift of appreciation for their time, and training before their shift.
