At Capital One/ Junior Achievement Finance Park each student becomes “an adult for the day” in an electronic simulation. The students are assigned a life scenario so they can experience firsthand the real-life challenges of making personal budgeting decisions. After calculating their net monthly income and savings goals, students visit kiosks that represent different budget categories such housing, health insurance, groceries, and utilities. Anyone with real world monthly budgeting experience can become a volunteer. JA Finance Park Volunteers play a key role by helping the students understand the concepts of personal financial planning and career exploration. Volunteers provide guidance and assistance while monitoring and verifying students’ work.

We are working concessions at our school to raise money for our girls and boys golf bags. We need $3000 to purchase 20 golf bags. These bags are important to us because they have stands so when we walk 18 holes for a tournament we can stand them up each time we hit. Our current bags are 8 years old and we really are in need of new ones. We will have students working this concession also. Thanks for any help you can give.

Military Ball is an event we host to follow the Military Tradition of celebrating and remembering our Service Men and Women. At Easley High School, we recognize the students, cadets that work very hard all school year with the Unit. They put in many hours of volunteering by helping on school events, host a blood drive , trash pick up, they also help the Easley Community by cleaning a local nursing home facility and donating to a Head start program; among other events.
The Ball usually begins at 5:30pm we follow Military tradition by presenting The Colors, speech from the current Battalion Commander, followed by dinner, then a speech by a retired Military guest, cake cutting ceremony, then to have a little fun by starting a dance. Before the Ball concludes, we crown the queen and court. This is a high Honor given to the female cadets that have earned the most points out of the Unit by volunteering and working with the unit. The male cadets are also recognized.
