The mama saadia program is fortunate to have a corps of volunteers who are Dedicated to the program and are available to work with children on improving their academic skills. Student from have taken an active role in homework area, working individually with students using current homework assignments. In the computer lab they help the students improve their keyboarding skills and show them how to use the computer for research. They read aloud with students and give quizzes on tapes and videos to improve comprehension. When college students are not on campus, ustadha's assume the role of tutors. Incentives are awarded to the participants based on attendance, good behavior and general attitude.

We welcome volunteers to Pause-4A-Cause and support ALL events. Camp volunteers support youth campers throughout the week of camps. As a volunteer, each volunteer
are docents, advise and supervise, encourage students to be engaged in the concepts of rope skipping, Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) while having fun. This community service initiative will change lives, inspire, empower and give hope.
All camp volunteers must be at least 21 years of age.

Young Authors Conference (YAC) gives 4th-8th grade students the opportunity to learn from professionals with real writing experience. Students attend a keynote address and three interactive writing sessions led by local fiction and non-fiction writers. Students leave YAC with a greater passion to write and a new set of strategies and ideas with which to experiment.

Volunteers are needed to assist with lunch, guide students on campus, monitor the book fair and open mic, and ensure that students have a fun and exciting day!


The Young Authors Conference takes place on March 14, May 27, May 28, and May 29, but you can commit to any day (or every day) that you are available.

About Pandemic Professors:
Pandemic Professors is a nonprofit organization that offers free tutoring and mentorship to underserved students in low-income communities. The service was created to bridge the education gap caused by e-learning and the pandemic. We are a 100% volunteer- run organization and we do not have any paid positions.

Summary of Position:
We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy Director of Extracurricular Programs (EP) to join our organization. The volunteer’s responsibilities include completing tasks assigned by the Executive Director, upholding the organization’s values and maintaining a high degree of professionalism with all stakeholders. This position helps organize and run oversight over the extracurricular programs at Pandemic Professors to improve the overall experience for and provide to the direct needs of our students and communities.

You Will:
-Run oversight over extracurricular programs for the organization. These are programs that we offer our students that are not our core tutoring service. Current program examples include the following programs: Financial Literacy, Coding and Clubs.
-Run program diagnostics through surveys and feedback. Use the feedback to identify opportunities to improve the experience for our students and implement those changes.
-Work with Executive Director and other Directors to advance the organizational mission by setting and monitoring org-wide goals, strategies, policies, and processes, based on organizational capacity towards shared targets or creating activity plans
-Work with the People Ops team to hire and grow the EP team. Ensure that the volunteer team is high performing, customer service oriented, and consistently identifies issues and designs solutions in collaboration with program teams
-Work with the Operations and Communications teams to optimize student involvement for students currently involved in our tutoring program and find ways to grow outside participation in the programs by working with the Community Outreach and Marketing Teams
-Work with appropriate partners to administer program sessions
-Create, streamline, implement and improve program sessions with the team and ensure the quality and consistency of the programs
-Report to the Executive Director
-Act as a representative of the organization and its interests in external forums and donor meetings. This position is a strategic partner in motivating others to get involved with the mission at hand such as encouraging for monetary donations or to engage in fundraising events

Requirements and Responsibilities:
-15+ hours a week
-Passion for education, quality and creating programs that provide students with needed educational resources
-A willingness to learn and work as a team
-Develop and implement strategies to optimize student extracurricular programs
-Create specific roles and responsibilities and make sure these are filled
-Lead your team with clear expectations
-Proven ability to handle numerous projects at once
-Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Demonstrate active listening and problem solving skills
-Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as work in a collaborative, compassionate team environment
-Track the activity, outputs, and outcomes for student programs and monitor the quality of the student experience. Prepare quarterly reports tracking key performance indicators.
-Good time management

Preferred Qualifications:
-Background in an Education field
-Thoughtful communicator and can exercise extreme discretion
-Experience working with students or creating and managing programs
-Experience working for nonprofits
-Comfortable leading a team
-Basic understanding of Non-profit company organization structure
-Proficient in GSuite
