On Thursday, April 4 and Friday, April 5, more than 1,300 students from FBLA chapters across the state of Oregon will be competing in over 65 competitive events at the annual State Business Leadership Conference at the Doubletree by Hilton Portland Lloyd Center. Events range from graphic design and digital video production to mock job interviews and impromptu speaking. While many of the competitions are exam-based, several require judging by practicing professionals to identify the top students in the competition. Judges use rubrics to evaluate the students' presentation skills as they deliver speeches or present case study reviews/recommendations, or put students through mock interviews or role plays. There are a variety of events, fitting the experience and comfort level of almost any volunteer. There are four available judging times - you may sign up for any or all that you are available to judge. Please consider taking part in this extraordinarily rewarding experience!
