The Hamilton Education Foundation is excited to announce its GALA Fundraiser on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at the Marriott Milwaukee West in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The evening includes a grand raffle, games, silent and live auctions, several drawings along with entertainment, all with the goal of raising money for the students and teachers of the Hamilton School District. We will be looking for assistance with set up and take down of the event. Volunteer help before the event would be available as well.

Our Women’s Empowerment Program offers a meaningful volunteer experience, where you can make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of young women and girls in rural India. This unique program enables volunteers to support and inspire young females from underprivileged backgrounds, providing them with essential skills and confidence that will shape their futures.

Our vision is to restore the natural balance for Bornean orangutans. Their survival is at risk solely due to human impact, pushing them to the brink of extinction.

Our mission is two-fold. First, we save orangutans in immediate danger through rescue, rehabilitation, and re-introduction to protected rainforests. Second, and equally important, we protect and restore their wild habitat by working alongside the native communities bordering them.

We are now using Salesforce as our primary CRM system and am looking for people who can assist in the regular management, monthly import process, and buildout of special projects (like automated adoption certificates) within the system. If you are interested please let us know.

We are putting together a client services team of 4 volunteers to help support DivaDiversity's clientele by speaking to them directly and supporting therapists in the field of mental health.

Our volunteers on the client services team will be to answer the phones and schedule sessions with a clinician (therapist) on an ongoing basis. Multiple types of trainings will be provided through online, video distance learning tools and more.

Volunteers would be expected to work at a minimum of 10hrs per week, work independently, and when be actively engaged with answering the phone and emails when clients have questions about counseling or education services. We are seeking self-starters, quick to learn, and fast to respond to clients to provide them services. Basically our volunteers would ensure that each therapists schedule is at capacity (fully booked). The ideal volunteer understands "customer service", consistency on the job, and someone seeking to grow with the company.

Opportunity Details

Every year, the organization produces and executes a 5K fundraising event. The event requires over 40 people, many help navigate runners through the course and help with the finish line elements of the event. This past year the organization has changed the run course which requires more road support in 2022 to ensure runners are safely crossed at intersections and guided onto the roadway safely. With so many volunteers involved, the organization would also like to add a volunteer party after the event to thank those who came out in the early morning hours to dedicate their time to our fundraising efforts. Another area we require assistance is the help in acquiring sponsorship and promotion for the event. Acquiring sponsorship keeps our event expenses low and more funds dedicated towards building projects and arts education programs and events.

Carelink provides free telephone befriending and low-level health monitoring to elderly and vulnerable people in North Staffordshire with the aim of reducing Loneliness and Isolation alongside improving Health & Well-being. Carelink has continued to provide a vital service supporting older people through the pandemic.
With the help of our dedicated volunteers, scheduled telephone befriending calls were made ensuring that those isolating has a listenign ear and reassurance that their basic needs such as shopping and medication deliveries were being met.
We are now facing new challenges, lockdown and shielding have drastically affected our health and well-being. Some have suffered illnesses fearing to seek medical attention as not wanting to go to the hospital. Others have lost their confidence or fitness and are not able to resume past hobbies.
Therefore, we are not looking for assistance from volunteers to help us carry out home visits to these vulnerable adults, providing companionship, and motivation to help them overcome their challenges and reconnect with their communities.
