Volunteers have always been at the heart of Luminaria's success!

Spread the word about the free annual Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival, the Luminaria Artist Foundation grants program, creative placemaking projects, and other enterprising opportunities for regional, national, and international artists. When you work with Luminaria, you will learn about the exciting world of arts production and administration.

Is there another way you want to get involved with Luminaria? Tell us about your arts-related or event assistance background. We seek groups and individuals who can take on specific roles.

Volunteers must be 16 years or older. Let us know if you are a student or need community hours recorded, and we will provide documentation.

The 6 month Fall into Fabulous empowerment program culminates with an annual fundraising luncheon that highlights and celebrates the women participating in the program and their transformative efforts. Each woman is treated to a complete makeover from head to toe, including clothing. New and very gently worn clothing items, shoes and accessories are donated to the FAB Boutique for "shop-til-you-drop" experience each participant. This is a very large undertaking to create this fabulous pop-up boutique. Volunteers are needed in the following areas: Clothing Sorters, Staging and Boutique Set-Up, Social Media/Marketing,
Personal Shoppers, Makeup Artists, Hair Stylists and Wardrobe Stylists.

Looking to join a winning team working to celebrate the reality that over 23 million American's have overcome this problems with alcohol & other drug use? We're launching a new membership program and are seeking an experienced (virtual) fundraiser to help us reach our goal.

Volunteer needed to organize vendor files for a non-profit organization located in Hartford. This project will assist the organization in preparing for its upcoming fiscal year and will involve:

1) alphabetizing existing files, 2) purging select files based on the age of the file, and 3) creating new file folders (labels may be either printed or neatly handwritten).

This project requires the ability to stand for the majority of work being performed. Total commitment: approximately 5-7 hours. Timeline: Any time during the months of October or November, during the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Opportunity Details

The volunteers will assemble a newsletter mailing for the camp. All the materials will be delivered to Kohl's Brownsburg. Michelle Howser of Kohl's Brownsburg (store 1104) will distribute the materials to the volunteers.

The mailings are used to promote the camp, who serves at-risk children.
