Purrfect Pals, a local no-kill cat shelter and sanctuary in Arlington (230 McRae Rd NE), is looking for cat lovers who interested in volunteering two hours a week. Our current needs include Adoption Counselors, Cat Room Cleaners, Clinic Assistants, Cat Socializers, General office work, event planning video production, painting, gardening, laundry, carpentry, web development, misc handy work, etc. We also have an ongoing need for fleece blankets and cat toys so if you are interested in sewing, we would love to hear from you! Please help us improve the lives of these homeless cats while they are waiting for their forever homes!

We also need volunteers in our offsite adoption centers to help with cat care, cleaning and adoption matchmaking. Locations include:

Lynnwood Petsmart
Renton Petsmart
Issaquah Petco
Sammamish Petco
Denny's Pet World (Kirkland)
Woodinville Petsmart


Our minimum age requirement for independent volunteers is 16, but teens 13-15 can volunteer with an adult in most locations.

Purrfect Pals is a nonprofit, no-kill cat shelter and sanctuary committed to rescuing and placing cats and kittens in loving, responsible homes. Purrfect Pals saves the lives of more than 2,500 homeless cats each year. In addition to adopting cats through Petsmart, Petco and our other partner stores' adoption centers, we help place special needs cats and provide a comfortable long-term sanctuary for cats diagnosed with Feline leukemia and FIV positive cats. Hello! Are you interested in addressing food insecurity and hunger in your community? Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes operates a pantry program every weekday of the year, assisting around 600 families per month.

As a pantry volunteer, assistance is needed in various tasks, including working with our client families directly, packing bags of pantry goods to distribute, sorting deliveries from local farms, cleaning, and other functions as they arise.

Being bilingual in Spanish is an excellent skill but not required. Many of our volunteers are monolingual.
