We are finding it incredibly difficult to attract and keep volunteers on this project and we are now at a critical point of need. We would love a team of 5 volunteers who can slowly and methodically help us get our files in order.We would prefer this project to happen during weekday work hours but are open to scheduling a weekend project.

Project Manager (National)LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders.
We are looking for a strong leader to join the National Team as Project Manager. The successful candidate will oversee and lead projects from ideation through to completion, and help put in place processes & policies for project management. The Project Manager will ensure project initiatives meet the goals and objectives set forth by the VP, National and Leadership team.

About You:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with taking the lead on project management in a dynamic, complex environment, either in a work or volunteer capacity;
- Advanced verbal and written English communication skills;
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
- Related work experience in a non-profit organization (Preferred)
- Ability to build, influence, and motivate teams;
- Strong leadership and relationship building capabilities;
- Completion of a post-secondary degree in related field including but not limited to administration, non-profit administration, communications, project management, arts administration;
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of youth volunteers in planning and execution of NoTimeToWait (NTTW), LetsStopAIDS’ national youth-HIV conference including managing project documentation, creating charts and scheduling.
- Partner with National Leaders to plan and define scope of projects; set project priorities identify project issues, and recommend solutions to issues and approve changes to projects.
- Establish project timelines and provide time & cost estimates; activity/resource planning and sequencing; developing project budgets.
- Conduct risk analyses and manage risk on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain up to date project portfolio reports including schedules, milestone dates, risk logs, issue logs, change logs and decision logs.
- Perform quality control for project deliverables, and ensure benefit realization.
- Scalability, Interoperability and Portability Analysis on project outputs.
Dedication: The role will require 10-20 hours per week and the successful candidate may choose to work remotely, however, the different tasks involved may sometimes require irregular volunteer hours, particularly in times of need.
