The Waukesha County Fair is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that impacts the lives of nearly 125,000 fairgoers in just 5 days! The Fair is run by a 15 member volunteer Board of Directors that help make the decisions to continue to sustain this event into the future. The Waukesha County Fair is proud of being the oldest county fair in the state and the largest event held in Waukesha County. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to help us facilitate different facets of the Fair, specifically in our set-up, face-to-face exhibitor judging, clerking, and more!

We would welcome any volunteers Monday, July 15th, Tuesday, July 16th, and Wednesday, July 17th to help with many of he exhibit and judging areas. The time frame is from Noon to 7 pm on any of the given days. There would be direct interaction in a team environment with exposure to the public, exhibitors of all ages, and judges to help make it all come together.

The 2nd annual Rock & Rouge Women’s Music & Food Festival & beyond will take place in October 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Our festival has four main cornerstones: local women-fronted bands, local women food vendors, women empowerment panels, and the STEAM Tent for young girls. For example, we had Soul Queen of New Orleans, Miss Irma Thomas as our musical headliner. Local female chefs, such as Marilyn Doucette of Meals From the Heart, serving up exquisite Southern cuisine. We also had several notable local leaders from various backgrounds on our empowerment panels. Our STEAM Tent was put on by the Rock & Rouge Foundation and was sponsored in-part by Microsoft and ElectricGirls.

Our mission is the education, empowerment, and enrichment of young girls and women from all backgrounds in Southern Louisiana, specifically the Greater New Orleans Area. In order to make this goal a reality, we need YOUR help! Last year, we were fortunate enough to have 44 volunteers with us, and this year we’re aiming even higher. We are expecting our festival to be bigger and better in its second year, which will require all hands on deck to help make it a success. We have plenty of different opportunities and positions to be filled, so there is something for everyone If you support women’s rights, access to education for youth, and/ or music and cultural heritage, then this is definitely the event for you. Opportunity Details

This is an opportunity to volunteer to help facilitate our 5K and Kids Fun Run. The funds from this event will go to the Let Me Play fund that gives families in Williams County the funds to participate in activities that they normally wouldn't be able to without financial assistance. We want every child to be able to get out and be active!

This will be a GLOW run and will be held in the evening.

This year we are partnering with the Williams County YMCA who will be assisting with the kids games and activities.

We need volunteers to help set-up for the event as well as tear down once the event is finished. Looking for race cheerleaders and guides, photographers, kids games helpers, registration and prize table volunteers and much more! We are also adding a position this year for a Race Director. This person will be in charge of establishing the course, facilitating the set-up of the course and organizing the volunteers to make sure that the decorations are set, the runners are supported and everyone has fun!

The volunteers will assemble an invite mailing for the camp. All the materials will be delivered to Kohl's Brownsburg. Michelle Howser of Kohl's Brownsburg (store 1104) will distribute the materials to the volunteers.

Opportunity Details

This position takes on the process of vetting area therapists and counselors to ensure that they are affirming. We have a list of questions to ask them and a list of providers to question.
The questions include:
Have you had any LGBTQ+ affirming therapy training? If so, with who?
Have you ever have an LGBTQ+ client?
Have you ever had a trans client?
Have you ever written a letter of referral?
What are your thoughts on conversion therapy?
What do you know about gender dysphoria?

This position will be overseen by our Clinic Administrator, Faye Seidler, and performed on a recurring basis.

Opportunity Details

Conduct mock interviews for a day with school students. Join a group of business volunteers assisting students to experience a one to one interview. Provide 10 minutes personal feedback for each candidate. Each student can choose from one of five business roles to be interviewed for.
