XBOT Robotics a Seattle-area non-profit seeking to grow its Board of Directors. We are looking for board members who are passionate about helping students in underserved communities develop interest and experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Students in our programs learn through hands-on application and competitive events involving technologies such as robotics, 3D printing, and wind turbines. Prior non-profit Board of Directors experience is highly desired but not required. We seek to add members who collectively will bring to the board experience in diverse professional disciplines including accounting, legal, and organizational development. All board members are expected to help the organization raise funds needed for planned growth.Board meetings occur in Redmond WA once per month, with occasional 1/2 day retreats (no more than twice per year) for strategic planning.

• Responsibilities:The workforce engagement team supports our disaster services volunteers during times of disaster and on a day to day basis. Volunteers in this role may be asked to do any of the following:
- Onboard new volunteers to the department.
- Guide volunteers through registering for training.
- Help deploy volunteers for national disasters by issuing mission cards and instructions.
- Support staffing responses for local disasters.

Volunteers interested in this position should be comfortable working with a variety of personalities. They should also be comfortable working with computers and learning new systems.

All positions at the Red Cross require a six month commitment.

• Responsibilities:The Administrative Support volunteers support the Red Cross by aiding in the office administration of various departments, including answering phones, greeting members of the public, general office filing and upkeep of office records, checking invoices, copying, faxing, and shredding.
The responsibilities of an Administrative Support volunteer include:
• Work in the office supporting different departments
• Greet clients, staff and other volunteers by working the front desk
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, phone calls, and data entry.
• Time Commitment:
Shifts will vary depending on the department but generally require 2-8 hours per week. Most positions require daytime availability.
• Qualifications:
Volunteers applying for this position should have strong organizational skills, be comfortable working with computers and/or making phone calls, and be comfortable working in an office setting.
• Length of Appointment
The Red Cross asks for a minimum of a six month commitment for volunteering.
• Requirements:
All training is provided at no cost to our volunteers. You will be provided all of the training needed for this role. This training may be online and/or in person.

Thank you for your interest in lending a hand with Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center. We are actively seeking volunteers to help with lessons, horses, fundraising, and other organizational tasks. You do not need to have any experience with horses to help out. We will provide the necessary training for you to be a growing part of our organization. We provide services all year round to most of our clients. We ask that you try and commit to volunteering on a regular basis so our riders and staff have as much consistency as possible. We will also take “subs” in case someone is unable to make a scheduled time.Our mission is to provide the highest quality services to the individuals who can benefit from the programs we offer. Our staff members have degrees in areas of Special Education, Physical Therapy, and Psychology, with additional specialized training and certification in Therapeutic Riding and Hippotherapy. Our goal is to allow individuals to succeed and miracles happen! We have many individuals of all ages that have “special challenges” ranging from those with physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs, along with those who have suffered from a trauma or are recovering from injury. We work with individuals and their families to provide the best services possible. All your help is great appreciated in enriching the lives of others through horses and humans.
Because of insurance restrictions, volunteers must be at least 14 years old. All volunteers 18 and older are required by Pennsylvania State Act 153 to submit a criminal background check and child abuse clearance. Once we have processed your volunteer application and background checks, two training seminars are required (one hands-on, one classroom).
