MDA Nashville 2019 Clinical Services Team Assistance provides an opportunity to connect and celebrate MDA’s mission in an inspirational event. Volunteers will meet families, donators, sponsors and vendors in an awe-inspiring event that fuels MDA’s mission of transforming the lives of kids and adults living with neuromuscular diseases.

As a volunteer, you will register attendees, assist with event set-up, support, and clean-up, engage in community outreach and help manage day of event activities.

Over the past 36 years, the MDA Shamrocks program has raised more than $315 million dollars to help save and improve the lives of families living with muscular dystrophy. This year we're joining together with more than 20,000 retail locations across the country during the St. Patrick's Day season to raise even more money.

We are looking for volunteers to help to: travel to retail stores in the community; pack kits in our district office and make calls to engage stores.

Opportunity Details

The main purpose of volunteering at Rejarla, India is to help and assist the rural kids and community who have limited access to teaching resources, technology and a complete lack of competent and vocational skills like Art, Music, Painting, Wood work, Literacy , Digital , Science Projects, Gardening, Dancing, Drama, First Aid, Administration and Food Technology . Rejarla is a small village with a population of 7000 people. It is located in Telangana State in Khammam District. Children who study at New Song Community school mostly come from a farming background whose parents have almost never attended school and are first generation learners. The school has nearly 300 students and would benefit from the skills and competence in the above areas as they currently lack sufficient resources and skills. In doing this, it would encourage students to attend school daily and be motivated and engaged. We would like to make this school a safe place of learning and build and educate the student community. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
