The Big Heart Fund hosts its annual Heart to Heart Reception and Silent Auction every year to raise awareness for congenital heart disease, acknowledge an outstanding member of the CHD community, and raise funding our programming. This is our premier event with over 100 participants allowing us to engage with new and existing supporters to expand our efforts. We will feature silent auction items from local artists and businesses with light hors d'oeuvres, wine, and music. The attire is business-casual and volunteers are asked to wear black.

Shambhala's mission is to create enlightened society by bringing the practice of meditation and mindfulness to the world. Shambhala members volunteer at local events and charity functions. We offer ongoing meditation classes open to the general public.

This is a great opportunity for all, starting from middle school students to all ages, where one can live, share, learn, educate amidst children of paradise who were once destined to be destitute and orphans. Thanks to the volunteers who continue to make efforts to make good citizens of these innocent children. One can volunteer in teaching to elementary to high school children, volunteer to teach various skills, such as handy crafts, computers, singing, music, art of spoken english, math, sciences, biology, history, sports, morals and civic sense and responsibility. This experience leaves one with immense gratification of giving.

UWMC’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance service (VITA) provides free tax counseling and preparation to working families and individuals. Last year, volunteers helped bring back
millions in refunds and credits back into our local economy.

When you volunteer with us for this opportunity you will be helping us create boxes loaded with forms for the tax preparers and greeter/screeners that will staff the sites during tax season.

The volunteers will assemble a mailing for the camp. All the materials will be delivered to Kohl's Brownsburg location. Michelle Howser of Kohl's Brownsburg (store 1104) will distribute the materials to the volunteers.

The mailing is used to request donations for the camp, who serves at-risk children.
