Compassionate Home Health Care is a not-for-profit organization that helps subsidize the high cost of personal care/hygiene items and cleaning supplies for community members who struggle to purchase these overlooked basic essentials. Providing seniors, children, veterans, those with disabilities and special needs with basic necessities as many people in our community have to decide between living in a healthy, clean space and food. It’s hard to live a healthy and clean life without shampoo, laundry detergent, toilet paper, garbage bags, and many other household items we all take for granted.
As a not for profit organization we understand just how valuable volunteers are. Being part of the solution, level up your professional skills, paying it forward, empowering others, and creating more positive experiences in the workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position reports to staff member, Calgary Police Youth Foundation.
Responsibilities may include:
• Reliability in completing the tasks in the time requested

• Providing post-event debriefing details, with suggestions for improvement
SKILLS NEEDED:

Since our inception in 2009, we have proudly provided over 4200 vests in 50 states through the generosity of corporate and private sponsors.We conduct physical and online fundraising events and are seeking volunteers to help support our mission in the following areas: 1. We are in need of a volunteer who has excellent penmanship and spelling/grammar skills to write Thank You cards and send acknowledgment emails to our donors. Cards, envelopes and stamps are provided. Ideally, this volunteer will work quite independently, but would take initiative to confirm that each week's work has been completed. They should also be comfortable utilizing a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to extract the information needed for emailing or mailing the necessary form of acknowledgement with little to no input from others. Cards and emails must be completed and mailed weekly, with a varying time commitment based on the number of donations received. This is a long term position, and the volunteer selected would be expected to complete all card writing and mailing and emailing in a timely fashion. Application Reviewer needed for K9 Protective VestsNationwide non-profit is seeking an application reviewer to work from home. Hours are flexible (days/evenings/weekends) AVERAGE of 2 hours per week. This unique role serves as the liaison between the organization and law enforcement officers.
This would be a rewarding position for an animal lover and those who support law enforcement.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c(3) non profit organization whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and other related agencies throughout the country. We have proudly provided over 4200 ballistic vests to law enforcement dogs in 50 states at a cost of 3.9 million dollars.
Candidate would be responsible to communicate by phone, text and company provided email with donors and law enforcement agencies.
We are seeking an individual with strong interpersonal skills, who is reliable, organized, detail oriented and has the ability to multi-task.
The ideal professional would possess initiative to act on opportunities, be a good team player with a sense of humor and positive outlook.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, email and facebook communication.
A mobile device (smart phone), laptop and/or desktop computer is required along with an active facebook account.

We are pleased to announce a new location for the 2023 season of The Shining Light Tree Lot. Saint Louis Bank, located at 9811 South Forty Drive, Ladue, MO 63124, is generously providing use of their parking lot for Delta Gamma Center’s 72nd Annual Shining Light Tree Lot.Volunteer opportunities begin November 24th, the day after Thanksgiving, and continue until each Christmas tree has found a home. Most trees are sold within two weeks of opening day. If you’re an outgoing, energetic, and friendly person who enjoys being outdoors this is a great opportunity to help a worthy cause. Volunteers come back year after year to assist customers in selecting the perfect Christmas tree. Wreaths, greenery, and seasonal items are also available.
Proceeds from the Shining Light Tree Lot support Delta Gamma Center’s educational, therapeutic, and recreational services for local children who are blind or visually impaired.
Volunteers who are physically able to lift, carry, and secure a tree (50 or more pounds) to the roof of a customer's vehicle are vital to the success of this annual event.
Other tasks include re-stocking trees and keeping the tree lot clean. Shifts are 3 hours in length and the lot is open evenings Wednesday through Friday plus day and evening shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
Volunteers 18 years or older are preferred. Those under 18 may be accepted provided they are accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Corporate and civic groups are encouraged to participate. Families with children over the age of 13 may participate provided a parent and/or responsible adult is present to supervise.
