JOIN OUR WELLNESS FESTIVAL and support people with behavioral health issues and their families. Join our fun morning of team camaraderie. Help raise funds for free peer support programs for people with schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar disorder and other "stuff" that gets in the way of life. With 1 in 5 people affected by behavioral health issues, everybody knows somebody. WE TALK ABOUT IT. Please help us spread the word that a NEW NORMAL into managed recovery is possible. Last year we provided free support groups, caregiver classes and community outreach to over 7000 people in the GREATER NASHVILLE AREA. We are asking you to start a team of co-workers, church goers, business colleagues, fellow students and Greek members, family or friends. We gather in fellowship and host some friendly annual rivalries. Vanderbilt University's Behavioral Health Hospital and the Mental Health Cooperative often vie for top team (top dollars and/or people make the grade), but you could give them some new competition. The Alpha Kappa Alpha alumni chapters have been a phenomenal asset to us. They could use some competition from the Delta's. Omega Psi Phi chapter dropped in from MTSU last year, but we didn't see any Kappas. Five people make a team. Each team gets its own mini-website. Team goal is $1000. Every team raising at least $500 gets a team picture. Event to be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 6:30 am to 11:00 am. Can't make the event? Virtual teams welcome. Help with event setup, breakdown and other tasks is welcome. Contact info@namidavidson.org or call 615-891-4724.
