Opportunity Details

On Saturday, May 12, the Isaac Bruce Foundation will host the Flag Football Challenge on at the former Rams Park. Celebrity coaches including Steven Jackson, Dre Bly, Keith Lyle, Will Witherspoon, Andy McCollum, Arlen Harris, Clif Crosby, and many more will join Isaac and help teams compete throughout the day. Teams (both men and women) will have the chance to huddle up with superstars to take part in the ultimate team-building event. Through the power of play, teams will prepare, execute, compete, and celebrate together in a great atmosphere.

There will be a tailgating competition and it should be lots of fun! The event will be open to the public and it is FREE for all spectators! It will be a great opportunity as we raise money for the IBF!

We needs lots of volunteers at this event. We will have between 12-16 corporate teams competing with celebrity coaches (i.e. Mercy will play against Ameren, etc.). We will need help with registration and will have an Isaac Bruce Foundation tent where people can donate and buy shirts. We will need help on each field with people that help keep score of the games. We will need volunteers to make sure the celebrities have water and the water coolers and filled. We will need volunteers to help manage the tailgate area and more! We would LOVE to have any one come out that is interested! We will have thank you gifts for each of you!

Your help is needed to assemble survival kits for participants completing our smoking cessation programs.

Office environment is casual - snacks will be provided. There is no easier way to gain volunteer experience while supporting our mission to save lives! Multiple shifts of 3-4 hours are available.

Through the work of our programs, we aim to defeat lung cancer, improve the air we breathe and to eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related diseases.

Our volunteers are the engine of our organization! Day-to-day operations involve manning the front desk, greeting neighbors, filling our Food Bank referrals, verifying eligibility for services, answering the phone, screening neighbors for Ark services, and setting appointments. Interviewers work on-on-one with neighbors who are eligible for assistance. They go over income and expenses and screen for budget counseling, verify documentation, and confer with director to determine assistance.

Volunteers will help pack bags for the MDA "Fill-the-Boot" Campaign that starts in March. A sample bag and packing list will be put together for reference. Packing includes various MDA printed visuals...including lapel stickers, boot wrappers, banners. All to help our great sponsors - area firefighters.

This will be The 31st Annual Energy Fair held in the rolling hills of Custer, WI! The Fair brings over 11,500 attendees together to learn about clean energy and sustainability, connect with others, and take action towards a more sustainable future. The Energy Fair features all things sustainable with market and energy industry exhibitors, workshops, Solar Professional CECs, live music, inspiring keynotes, camping, food trucks, solar-brewed beverages, and activities for the whole family. Hosted by the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), The Fair promotes renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable living through education and demonstration. Join us in June as a Hardcore Volunteer and receive a free tee-shirt and free entry to The Fair all weekend when you volunteer 12+ hours the week of The Fair. Tickets on sale April 1st.
