Our foundation in Costa Rica is dedicated to conserving the tropical rainforest and has acquired and protected 140 hectares of nature and cultural reserve. This area is situated in the Caribbean lowlands, between Barbilla National Park, an Indian reserve, the village of San Miguel, and banana plantations, and has not been fully explored.

Our mission is to study the local biodiversity, identify threats, and implement sustainable measures that benefit both nature and humanity. We plan to expand our protection to 2000 hectares of rainforest, while also engaging the local population in alternative solutions to prevent logging and poaching.

During an ecotourism stay, volunteers can contribute to the project's goals of preserving the rainforest by engaging in scientific research, creating trails, setting up information points, monitoring tree growth in the organic garden, and practicing permaculture techniques. Volunteers can also assist with daily operational tasks and contribute their unique skills and experiences to the project. The project's focus is on biodiversity, reforestation, and sustainable living, and volunteers will be supervised by on-site biologists, a local nature guide, and a volunteer coordinator. Additional activities may include English classes and collecting waste from the river around the reserve.

Ages 18+, Must be able to adapt to circumstances and meet needs on the spot, intermediate level of English OR Spanish. Visit our website for costs and more info.

Join us during National Volunteer Week from April 10-16 to kickoff spring with a free clean-up for elderly, veterans, and disabled individuals across the USA through I Want to Mow Your Lawn Inc. We are seeking a group of passionate volunteers to help us make a difference in the lives of those who are most in need.

The goal of this activity is to provide a free spring clean-up service for elderly, veterans, and disabled individuals who may not have the physical ability or resources to do so themselves. The service will include lawn mowing, trimming, and other basic yard maintenance tasks to help improve the quality of life for these individuals and their families.

This volunteer opportunity is important because it allows us to give back to those who have served our country and contributed to our communities, as well as support those who may not have the means to maintain their own property. By volunteering, you will not only help to improve the appearance of their homes, but you will also help to create a safer and more welcoming environment for them to live in.

For corporate clients of Benevity, this volunteer opportunity provides a meaningful way to engage employees and give back to the community. It allows employees to participate in a volunteer activity that has a direct impact on the lives of others and supports a cause that aligns with their company's values. Additionally, Benevity's platform can make it easy for employees to track their volunteer hours and receive matching donations from their employer, further amplifying the impact of their efforts.

Join us for this rewarding volunteer opportunity and help make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Neshaminy State Park Reforestation
We have ongoing volunteer opportunities tending this 3 acre area in Neshaminy State Park.

1236 Native Trees and Shrubs were planted in Neshaminy State Park from 2020-2022 by volunteers for Nonprofit Excel Events funded by Treevitalize and in Partnership with Keystone 10 Million Trees.

This is a Reforestation project remediating 3 acres covered by invasive plants back into native habitat. First we remove invasive plants then plant native trees and shrubs that can handle both drought and wet conditions. The funding came initially from a riparian buffer grant to help divert storm water in a priority flood zone. This will provide natural habitat for wildlife and migrating birds while native flowering shrubs feed pollinators and flowering native trees help feed other insects.
