CONCESSION STAFF:JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the daily duties of the concession stand including but not limited to: food prep, customer service, cash handling, inventory control, merchandise and supply restocking and facility upkeep.
SUPERVISION: The Concession Staff will report directly to the Concession Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: responsible, courteous, good communication skills, accurate cash handling skills, good work ethic and ability to work without close supervision. Must possess a sense of pride and accomplishment with ones work
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Food prep and service in accordance with Health Dept. regulations and guidelines.
a. Correctly operating all food service equipment
b. Proper food handling procedures.
2. Cash handling
a. Accurate count of start up and ending monies.
b. Accurate change counting.
c. Accurate sales transactions.
3. Communicate with other staff and customers in a courteous and professional manner
4. Inventory control
a. Complete inventory sheets.
b. restocking of merchandise.
5. Facility Upkeep
a. continuous cleaning of concession stands and equipment
b. trash removal from concession stands
c. clean utensils used in concession stands
6. Any other related duty as assigned by the Concession Manager
Work hours are determined by scheduled events. Must be available to work evenings, holidays and weekends.
CONCESSION MAINTENANCE STAFF
JOB SUMMARY: These employees will be involved in all facets of the maintenance operations including but not limited to: equipment operation and maintenance, event set up and tear down, trash removal and facilities maintenance. Employees must also be able to interact with patrons and other staff and carry themselves in a professional and courteous manner.
QUALIFICATIONS: Good work ethic and ability to work without close supervision, ability to lift 60 pounds, valid drivers license. Must possess a sense of pride and accomplishment in ones work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Equipment operation and maintenance
a. Operation of equipment to maintain the entire facility
b. Operating all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to ensure the safety of all patrons and employees.
c. Report any equipment problems to the supervisor immediately.
2. Event Set Up/Tear Down
a. Setting up and tearing down stand and any other necessary equipment as needed per event
3. Trash Removal
a. Keep entire facility trash and litter free.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
We are recruiting concession volunteers for major events (i.e. NFL Games, NBA Games, U.S. Open, Concerts, Festivals, etc.) who wish to be extras or regulars.
Regular volunteer staff must commit to 10 games and/or events this upcoming season while fill in or extra volunteers will go to events on an as needed basis. ALL EXTRAS ARE ENCOURAGED TO DO 5 EVENTS THIS YEAR. IN ORDER TO BE SELECTED A CONTACT NUMBER MUST BE INCLUDED.

About Pandemic Professors:
The closure of schools that began in the spring has served to only widen the educational gap between economically disadvantaged students and others. With school closures taking place for the foreseeable future it is imperative that we give economically disadvantaged students the attention they need to not fall behind.
Pandemicprofessors.org, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, was founded in April by UC Berkeley alumni to achieve this mission. It is a 100% volunteer-based organization from top-to-bottom. We have partnered with a national job training nonprofit to provide educational help to the children of the low-income parents in their programs. We are also connecting with underserved schools and districts across the country to help disparaged and at-risk youth. We will be seeing a huge influx of students and we are asking interns with a wide range of skills and interests to assist us with multiple operations.
As a volunteer/intern, you will be responsible for helping the organization run smoothly and deliver the best services possible to students in need. You will interact with staff and tutors. We have specific roles opened, but can also create positions to fit personal goals and skills. You will be able to grow a diverse range of skills tailored to your professional interest. This is an position you have ownership of. We are a 100% volunteer run organization, and have no paid roles.

Our target are aspiring entrepreneurs, current entrepreneurs and individuals who would like to be educated about the different industries. We are asking professionals to teach individuals one thing they know how to do for a 30 min - 1.5 hour session on Mondays or Thursdays. This 6-month pilot program will have a duration from July to December 2021. We are seeking professionals in a variety of fields like health, transportation, art, public sector, and more. The volunteer Demonstrator/ Presenter at the BDJ Center would share topics related to professionalism, career activities, job and life skills, and daily affirmations. We are open to any topics that would be useful for our participants and community members.In an effort to keep the Legacy Workforce Development Program fresh and informative we love to have presenters in to talk to our students about a wide array of professional, work and growth related topics. Speakers are also invited to graduation ceremonies to celebrate with the students on their accomplishments. Those interested could be speakers at graduation ceremonies.
Demonstrators are used frequently in our community workshops to provide useful information to the public. Topics have included seasonal gardening techniques, cooking and preserving techniques, and healthy living activities including community exercise days.

Junior Achievement’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed. The inspiration piece comes from community volunteers who not only deliver our lessons, but share their experience. In the process, these volunteers serve as role models helping to positively impact young people’s perceptions about the importance of education, as well as critical life skills. Preparation involves our proven lessons that promote financial capability, work and career readiness, and business ownership.All it takes is five 45-minute sessions in a classroom. Sessions usually occur once a week, but the actual dates and time would be scheduled with the teacher.
Junior Achievement would provide you the training and guidance you'll need to remotely teach Kindergarten through 5th grade students. All sessions must be finished before the end of school (on or before May 19, 2023).

TCY's Transitional Teens Care Packages provides FREE hygiene/non perishable items to teens transitioning into or out of foster care; into or out of the juvenile detention center or the child protective services foster care services.During the month of January 2021 we provided over 60 care packages to all three departments along with Potomac Senior High School of Dumfries, VA.
