Nepal, a country still recovering from the 2015 earthquake, is among the least developed nations globally. However, thanks to the efforts of volunteers and local partners, an NGO is continuously carrying out earthquake infrastructure construction projects throughout the year. The construction initiative in Nepal brings together a diverse group of participants, including graduate engineers, students, families, and individuals of all ages, to collaborate with and serve local communities. Many view their involvement in Nepal as an adventurous undertaking that adds meaning and significance to their lives. Regardless of whether you possess construction experience or not, you can be an invaluable asset to our local team.
Given the extensive impact of the earthquake, which left numerous underprivileged communities and millions of people homeless, Nepal has placed high priority on rebuilding and resettlement. Thus, our on-site work camps have a lasting and tangible impact. The direct result of your time and dedication immediately improves the lives of the affected communities. Whether you are taking a gap year or seeking an immersive travel experience, the Nepal project welcomes your participation.
PROJECT TYPES AND MISSIONS
The project focuses on the rural areas of Nepal that were severely devastated by the earthquake, the most significant in over 80 years. Thousands of families were left without shelter, water, or electricity, and though supplies poured in from around the world, the recovery process continues years later. Rebuilding the region remains a pressing need, highlighting the vital importance of our building program.
By volunteering with us in Nepal, you will work alongside local communities to reconstruct the infrastructure that was destroyed by the disaster. Your tasks may include erecting temporary classrooms, demolishing dilapidated buildings, painting and decorating, engaging in small-scale redevelopment like brick-laying, maintaining and beautifying landscapes, installing water purification systems, and tending to gardens. This description provides only a glimpse into the range of activities our program encompasses. We encourage our volunteers to approach their tasks with an open mind and flexibility, as additional needs may arise on a day-to-day basis.
Furthermore, volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to social initiatives aimed at supporting traumatized children who have lost their homes. Information sessions are organized to educate these children on the use of the water purification systems that you will install. The possibilities on-site are vast, and the most crucial factor is your willingness to offer assistance.
With such a diverse range of construction and community service tasks, you will quickly discover your own strengths and abilities!

Within our sanctuary, a haven for orphaned, injured, and conflict-affected animals, volunteers will have the rare opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of majestic creatures. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, caracals, warthogs, antelope, baboons, and an array of birds, smaller African mammals, and farmyard animals all find sanctuary here. The role of Wildlife Conservation Volunteers is paramount in providing essential care to animals in rehabilitation or permanent captivity, as well as contributing to the continuous development and maintenance of the sanctuary. This extraordinary opportunity grants volunteers hands-on experience in every aspect of African wildlife care. Through a rotational group system, volunteers partake in a variety of tasks, ensuring exposure to a diverse range of experiences. We are a nonprofit organization devoted to preserving our environment. Our primary aim is to foster a bond between humanity and nature, enabling individuals to develop compassion and a sense of responsibility towards Mother Nature. The puma serves as our symbol. We strive to raise awareness about the puma's situation in Córdoba and across the country. Through education and research, we have established various programs to improve the current state of the flora and fauna that enrich the puma's habitat. As a keystone species, the puma not only acts as an umbrella species but also directly influences the biodiversity and abundance of other species.
We provide refuge for animals that have been trapped or involved in the exotic pet trade. Some of these animals are injured and permanently reside at our reserve, while others can be released into their natural environment.
Additionally, we care for other rescued animals, including the indigenous Eagle (Geranoaetus melanoleucus), ferrets (Galictis cuja), monkeys (Alouatta Carayá), llamas, Mayocastor coypus, peacocks, rabbits, hens, owls, ducks, parrots, and more.
Situated in a stunning area approximately 90 km southwest of Cordoba, our reserve offers a picturesque view of the Andes. Our dream is to restore this mountain range to a more natural state. After two decades of working alongside Mother Nature, we are embarking on a transformative task. This small portion of the mountain range has been affected by forest fires and urbanization. Our goal is to reintroduce native species of flora and fauna, remaining true to our motto: "one that looks after with the stealth of a puma."
We welcome tourists, as it allows us to engage directly with people and hopefully foster a connection between them and their environment. "We care for what we love, we love what we know, and we know what we are taught." We also offer year-round courses and workshops on various topics such as large felines, birds of prey, snakes and arachnids, and Córdoba's mountain range forests.
VOLUNTEER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Environmental education: Conduct guided tours for tourists, deliver environmental education talks and workshops.
2. Environmental preservation: Exotic species control, contribute to the Seed Bank by collecting and selecting seeds of different native species.
3. Environmental enrichment: Engage in activities to enhance the welfare of the animals, participate in organic gardening, handle animals.
4. Research: Aid researchers, monitor trap cameras.
5. Maintenance: Maintain trails and signage, perform cleaning tasks, manage waste for recycling.
VOLUNTEER WORK SCHEDULE (TENTATIVE DAILY SCHEDULE):
Volunteers will work for 9 hours per day, with one day off per week.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Be in good physical and mental shape
-Must be 18+ (or get parental approval)
-be a team player, have initiative, and perserverance
-Be up-to-date with vaccinations and have tetanus vaccine.
