DAKTARI is looking for someone who is eager to tell our story to the world, someone who loves to wordsmith, and someone with an eye for graphic design. The communications & media manager is the voice of DAKTARI and we are looking for someone excited to take on the challenge of describing our work to a big and variable audience in a fun and engaging way.

Part of your role is to tell everyone what is happening at DAKTARI every day. That means you have a front-row seat to all of the exciting things happening at the camp!

Your job will include:
- Managing DAKTARI’s accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok and Instagram, including posting content daily
- Writing and sending DAKTARI’s monthly newsletter and other campaign emails
- Strategically planning and executing fundraising campaigns
- Creating media and marketing content for DAKTARI including brochures, merchandise, photos, and videos
- Maintaining DAKTARI’s brand across all promotional materials and enforcing its use throughout the organisation
- Updating and improving DAKTARI’s website

Criteria:
- You must be comfortable working with Mac computers
- You must be able to meet deadlines and manage your time well
- You must have strong writing skills and be able to work independently
- Previous marketing or communications experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with photo and video editing.

As the flagship program of the Desert Forge Foundation, the Warrior Farmer Project aims to connect veterans back to the land they fought to defend through agricultural and natural restoration projects. The 14th Annual “The Amazing Eau Claire Clean-Up" is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 9:00am-12:00pm. The event, organized by Eau Claire Parks, Recreation, and Forestry, sends volunteers to assigned locations throughout the city including community parks, neighborhood playgrounds, picnic areas, recreational trails, and downtown to pick up litter.

The Amazing Eau Claire Clean-up is a great opportunity for people to work together and make a difference in our community. Volunteers may register individually or as groups. Businesses are encouraged to participate! T-shirts, snacks, garbage bags, and local discounts provided to each participant. Join Natural Restorations & OdySea Aquarium as we remove trash from the Lower Salt River at Coon Bluff Recreation Area. It's important to keep this area free from trash to protect the wildlife and habitat. It's also important to encourage Leave No Trace ethics and leave the area better than we found it.

Cybelle Planète’s ecovolunteering opportunitites are offered to employees, thanks to the support of their employer*, and within the framework of their agreed upon annual vacations.

SFUA is looking for volunteers to help glean green beans at a farm in Pomona.
What is gleaning you ask?
Gleaning is the practice of harvesting produce from a commercial farm after the farmers have made a pass through and picked all of the high quality produce that grocery stores expect. It becomes economically unviable for farmers to make a 2nd or 3rd pass so they allow gleaners onto their fields to harvest the remaining crop.

The produce will be donated to local food banks and food pantries to feed hungry people this holiday season.

This is an amazing opportunity to give back this Holiday season to those less fortunate than us.

As a bonus, volunteers may take home with them a small amount of beans to share with their friends and family.

I have a flyer available to post at your place of work, club, or community if you feel moved by our mission to reduce food waste and would like to help increase our reach.

Volunteer activity starts at 9am and volunteers may stay for as long as they would like!
We recommend volunteers wear hiking boots or work boots, but any closed-toed shoe would be fine.

Bring water, snacks, and sun protection. Volunteers may bring a pair of gloves if they would like but they are not necessary. Gloves will be provided for those who would like to borrow a pair.

Volunteers will need to sign a liability waiver on-site.
