Climbers take the stairs up to the 38th floor... 648 stairs all the way to the top in honor of the 35 million Americans affected by lung disease, because there is no elevator to the cure!

We need 50 volunteers ages 16 and older to assist with our 16th annual Fight For Air Climb Miami event. This event takes place on March 7th, 2020 in Miami's One Biscayne Tower. Over 700 participants are expected to take part in the race to climb 38 floors, 648 steps to the top.

Volunteers are needed to:

-Assist with registration
-Water stations, food, ice and table assistance
-Truck unloading and setup
-Timing company runners
-Towel and t-shirt distribution
- Post clean up

Additional details will be sent out leading up to the event date.

The Monk Botanical Gardens could not be the beautiful Gardens it is without volunteers helping in a variety of ways including weeding, planting, invasive species removal, raking and general clean-up. We are looking for individuals that love to get their hands dirty and enjoy being outside.

We offer opportunities for groups as well to come and help the Gardens from May-October. This is a great way for team building in your business or maybe a family day out giving back. We can accommodate 1hour-several days of activities.

Help us help others! In recognition of MLK Day of Service, The Media Foundation (an Oregon 501(c)3) will be sorting donated in-kind media. This is one step of many that ultimately allows us to turn donations into liquid assets, then donated to local nonprofits. It's a lot of work, and only possibly with the help of many hands.

HOW? You might ask. Media donations such as DVDs, CD, vinyls, and books are processed by volunteers and staff and sold online through websites such as Amazon, eBay, Alibris, Half.com, and others.

WHAT DO VOLUNTEERS DO? Volunteers assist by sorting inventory, alphabetizing media, cleaning, prioritizing, and filing the media we receive. You can volunteer 1 or 100 times! Volunteering is staged at our office, or offsite. Some groups would rather us come to them which we can do, and we bring tasks to keep everyone busy for hours. We look forward to connecting with you! Thanks!
