National Pike participates in an array of historic preservation projects, contributions to schools and educational programs and volunteer work which includes support for local veterans' organizations, sponsorship of programs which promote the Constitution, and donations to Domestic Violence Services of SW Pennsylvania. There is transportation to Washington Park's Fort Schneider, where there are battle reenactments and a Native American encampment. Bring a friend or two, some chairs to watch the tarring and feathering, and enjoy the festival while passing out handouts for the fundraising event.
