Destined for Greatness Outreach Youth Center will be hosting it's quarterly "Feed the Homeless" outreach event on Saturday, March 30th, 2019 from 9am-1pm. The goal of our event is to feed and clothe 200 homeless families in the Downtown Area of Atlanta, GA.Our goal is to have cases of water, toiletry items, clothes, hot meals, and love on our homeless families.

Women Only Weekend (WOW) is an annual event that is part of the NC National Wild Turkey Federation’s (NWTF) Women in the Outdoors outreach program. This year’s event will be held over 3 days in beautiful Swansboro, NC. As the name implies, Women’s Only Weekend is designed to provide women the opportunity to learn about outdoor activities with other ladies from all over the state. This is a great opportunity for ladies (16 and over) to learn hands on, overcome fears, and gain confidence in a relaxed, noncompetitive environment. At this year’s event, ladies will have the opportunity to kayak, stand up paddle board, experience a real 3D archery course, learn about gun safety, outdoor cooking, wilderness safety, and much more!Available Shifts

Our event is in the 7th year providing plant information and education to the community. The Junior Solar Sprints program is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) competition that engages students to design, build and race solar-powered model cars. After months of building, testing and experimentation, students compete in five divisional races for the fastest, most-innovative and best-engineered vehicles. The winners from these division races go on to compete against the best of the best at our Inter-County Final. All materials including solar panels, instruction and professional development workshops are provided to participants free of charge. The program adheres to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and has grown to serve 4000 students in over 100 schools each year.Available Shifts

Turn of the tide ministry (3T) is proud to partner and support the South Oak Cliff community parks in a effort to improve the green spaces for children and our Sr citizens, the City of Dallas has provided 15 brand new trees that we will plant and water and care for as the start of new life in Glendale park as we prepare for the total renovation of our park, students from SOC and Townview High School will join the young men of 3T for this awesome event and green space improvement project at Dallas Glendale Park we will also do a full Park Clean up as well as tree planting from 9am-12pm.Available Shifts

Kohl's volunteers assemble packages of 650 tree saplings, including fertilized soil, with instructions on planting procedures. The packages of saplings are delivered to second grade teachers along with volunteers who discuss the benefits of planting trees in the environment, and their sustainability. The second grade teachers give the packages to their students to take home and have their parents help them plant the trees for Arbor Day.Available Shifts
