When you participate in a Fight For Air Climb event, you are stepping up to make a positive impact for those affected by lung disease. Our Climbers will raise funds to support the American Lung Association's mission while climbing the stairs of a skyscraper. Every Step Counts as we move forward in our fight for healthy lungs and clean air!

Volunteers are needed to:
-Assist with registration / check-in
-Water stations, food, ice and table assistance
-Truck unloading and setup
-Cheerleaders

The Woods Project is hosting the 8th annual Walk for The Woods Project, presented by ENGIE, event on Saturday, March 30, 2019 @ BakerRipley- Ripley House.

The Walk is our largest fundraiser of the year and will help us provide life changing, leadership development opportunities to even more low income Houston high school students. Over 170 students are expected to participate in our 2-week summer wilderness immersion program.

This event would not be possible without the help of our wonderful volunteers. Many volunteer roles available. Grab your friends, family, and social groups to volunteer with us to help create another successful Walk for The Woods Project.

Volunteers needed on Saturday, March 30th, 6am - 2pm to help manage event day activities. Many shifts to choose from or decide to stay all day!

July 4 childrens' parade and community celebration to engage and provide learning opportunities for kids from 2 to 92; enjoy outdoors, environment, public parks, recreation (e.g., fishing), sports; cooperation and communication for preservation of limited diminishing resources while learning about public and community services, and agencies county- and state-wide to make a difference in the public health, safety, general welfare, and quality of life where they live, work, play, and use resources. Felida Community Park was built for and in partnerships with the Felida NA/community/Parks and Board of Commissioners. This was the park that the Felida NA Board chose to build the first all inclusive, all abilities park with special play structures adapted for wheelchairs. After ten years of approvals and public hearings, the Board is in the process of fundraising for the long-overdue park addition of All Abilities Children's Play Area/Garden in the Felida Park.
