Beach and street cleanup at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Meet next to the restrooms. Bags and gloves will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own reusable supplies if you have them.

Come join a volunteer crew that will cut back the invasives and improve the habitat at this preserve. Volunteers Wanted! Do you love to work outside in nature? Help us start the second phase of our Ocean Friendly Garden at the corner of Main St. and the bike path on ​October 13th from 9-noon. We will be removing the bushes that are in the area, digging the bioswale, and mulching. Please wear close-toed shoes and appropriate clothing, and bring a reusable water bottle.

Opportunity Details

We are always seeking volunteers to help pick up trash off of the roadways leading into our community. Peculiar Street Clean Up Day is normally held on the 3rd Saturday of the month of April in conjunction with Earth Day. Volunteers sign in at 9 am and receive directions as to where to go to pick up trash out of ditches and roadsides and place their trash bags at the curb and other volunteers pick up those bags and return to the donated dumpster at the sign in location. The event ends at 1 pm, so a person is donated for only 4 hours or less if that is all the time they have.
