Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity has partnered with Over The Edge to bring a rappelling experience to Kansas City while raising funds for families in Eastern Jackson County. Affordable, safe and healthy housing including financial literacy, nutrition, and workforce training is available to families who need a hand up.

Opportunity Details

Get your hands in the soil at Nearby Nature's Learnscape Garden in Alton Baker Park! Spend the morning working on gardening projects in our lovely garden space, which is the home base for our outdoor summer daycamps. An interest in outdoor work is helpful, but no experience with gardening is required. Afterward enjoy a potluck lunch that includes something fresh from the garden. Kohls volunteers are welcome to bring something for the potluck but it's not required.
