Beach Cleanup: Come help cleanup the beach in Surf City, California! The first 50 Kohl's volunteers get a FREE Drains to Ocean Reusable tote bag and sticker! If interested in helping run the cleanup, please let us know: info@drainstoocean.org. The Beach Cleanup runs from: 8am-12noon. Free parking on the numbered streets (inland to PCH) or metered parking is available on PCH, near 9th St. You will be just walking distance to Main St. and the HB Pier. This beach cleanup will be next to the RRR Surf Off Surfing Event that is open to the public. What to bring?: Work gloves, Reusable Bags or Buckets, Water and Sunblock. D2O can provide bags/gloves if needed (limited supplies)

The park preserves diverse wildlife habitat as well as historic and prehistoric features including a rare post-removal Potawatomi Village. The park's five miles of trails are open free of charge so support is crucial for the park to operate. COME SUPPORT THE PARK!

The Volunteer opportunity includes banquet support during the event including the working the dessert table.

Opportunities for volunteers will include working in the Cannon Creek Nature Trails, helping with recycling projects, renovating the greenhouse, building picnic tables, building a putt putt green, and helping to restore low income residents homes.

Day of Service brings together the students, faculty, and families of Riverside Brookfield High School working together with local organizations to beautiful their community. This year, we will have over 20 work sites where over 400 participants will plant trees, cut out invasive species, pick up garbage, clean up waterways, repair playgrounds, etc. in our local parks, waterways, roads, and community.

COA's Beach Sweeps is one of the nations longest standing and largest beach cleanups. Volunteers become citizen scientists for the day by recording the types and quantity of marine debris which COA uses to help implement anti-littering laws and policy. Not only is the Beach Sweeps a rewarding day giving back before summer, but also provides important pollution reduction education to all participants.
All supplies will be provided and each location has a trained Beach Captain to provide cleanup instructions. Please bring gloves and dress for the weather.
