ARCAS benefits from the support of volunteers from around the world both at its Rescue Center as well as its Sea Turtle Program. Volunteers contribute technical expertise and financial support while gaining valuable work experience and insight into Guatemalan culture.

At the Wildlife Rescue Center in Peten, volunteers help in feeding and caring for rescued wildlife including scarlet macaws, parrots, spider and howler monkeys, jaguars and coatimundis. At the Sea Turtle program in Hawaii on the Pacific coast of Guatemala, volunteers conduct nightly beach patrols in search of nesting sea turtles, manage the Hawaii Hatchery, take research data and assist in community projects. They also care for rescued animals such as yellow-naped parrots, tamanduas and iguanas.

We are looking for volunteers to help with our Ales on the Trails, 2023 event on Friday, June 9th! Ales on the Trails is one of our annual fundraisers for the Bubolz Nature Preserve, featuring a hike through the woods with stops for sampling beer, wine, and seltzers along the way. All proceeds from the event directly support our conservation and education efforts here at the preserve, and volunteering to help with the event is a great way to directly support the Bubolz Nature Preserve's mission. If you are interested in helping out, please sign-up for one of the roles outlined below - and see if you can grab a friend, family member, or co-worker to volunteer with you!

We still need around 3 volunteers for this event. Volunteers will be working closely with other volunteers and staff from the preserve, and are key to making the event a success. We'll provide guidance for each role, so no experience is necessary - just a positive, friendly attitude and a willingness to help out! See below for quick descriptions on the volunteer positions we are looking to fill.

Registration table: In this position you will help us set up registration tables, check-in guests for the event while also checking IDs, and take down tables after the check-in window has closed.
- Time frame: 4:15pm - 7:00pm

Raffle ticket sales: In this position you will initially set up near the registration tables to sell tickets for the raffle taking place during the event. After the check-in window has closed, you will help move the raffle prize(s) to The Pines to continue selling tickets there.
- Time frame: 4:15pm - 8:30pm

We ask that volunteers commit to the entirety of their shift so that we can guarantee positions are covered throughout the event. If you have any questions, please contact Zack at marketing@bubolzpreserve.org.

Again, thank you so much for all of your help! We can't overstate our gratitude, and really appreciate your support. We could not accomplish what do without your help. Volunteers are an essential part of ensuring our events are a success, and that our guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience.
