We have a number of sites around West London where we organise tree planting days.

In 2019 we successfully delivered a tree planting effort in Tower Hamlets where we planted 10 trees in conjunction with Tower Hamlets Council, The Mayor of London and the Faiths Forum for London.

We are looking to work with businesses and the community to deliver a series of corporate volunteering events to plant trees in the West London area to benefit the natural environment.

In 2020 we successfully planted 10 trees in Hounslow Crane Park for the community and environment.

In 2021 we planted 10 trees in conjunction with Lampton Greenspace 360 in Hanworth Park, this project was coordinated with Heathrow Airport Ltd and involved a collaborative venture with their employees encouraging volunteering in the community and environmental awareness.

Our goal is to help those who are vulnerable, as well as create a better understanding of the importance of sustainability and recyling/ reusing the resources available to us.

These sites have been identified as being less accessible to the community and initiatives that improve this area as greener spaces have been encouraged by the local councils we work with. It is directly from their support and direction that these sites have been selected in consultation with the community.

We will work together with the local councils across London and volunteers to locate the best places for the trees and then invite people to participate on
arranged days to join together and plant the trees as a community effort.

We will upskill those attending by providing training in BS standard tree planting
and gardening, offering an access point to employability.

Tools and PPE will be provided, weather and digging appropriate clothing and footwear is essential.

Public liability insurance is in place for this activity.

The Individual Food Rescue Shift opportunity with FoodFilled involves ‘rescuing’ (picking up) excess food from a FoodFilled partner retailer (including supermarkets, bakeries or cafes), packing your car with the food, and then delivering the food to a FoodFilled local charity partner - who support vulnerable community members. This volunteering shift typically takes between 1-1.5 hours.

The days and times for this volunteering opportunity are entirely flexible. The FoodFilled staff organise everything for our volunteers.

All we need is the availability, location and radius preferences.

*NOTE: to volunteer, we would need the name, phone number, WWCC/police check and a signed waiver for each person conducting volunteering.

After an interactive session on food security and the impact of the volunteering experience, you’ll roll up your sleeves and get on the road. Led by the FoodFilled staff, you’ll have hands-on experience in rescuing surplus food from local retailers (such as supermarkets, bakeries, or cafes). Then, you’ll go on a supermarket scavenger hunt to calculate the cost of the food rescued. Finally, you’ll have the powerful opportunity to hand-deliver the rescued food straight to charities supporting local vulnerable people. All logistics and preparation will be organised by FoodFilled. To conclude, we will join back at the FF workspace to debrief, reflect, and recap the huge impact you’ve made.

Scheduling Flexibility: Shift time, duration, and quantity can be customised to fit your team’s availability, including options for concurrent shifts or longer day engagements for larger groups. The number of staff members engaging in this activity can vary too.

Our mission at Clean Planet Project is to build a culture of daily cleanups and make outdoor volunteering more accessible for everyone. We are changing the typical volunteer cleanup event into something anyone can do anywhere, anytime!

Getting involved is easy—just step outside and pick up litter in your area, then use our mobile volunteer platform to track your progress. Volunteers can easily track their litter count and hours, earn badges, and engage with others on our social page, the "Trash Talk", where they can choose to share cleanups, follow friends, celebrate milestones, and stay motivated by the broader community. By making environmental action fun, flexible, and rewarding, we empower people to make a difference in their own neighborhoods.

What began as a small grassroots effort has grown into a movement of over 6,000 volunteers who have collectively removed more than 500,000 pieces of litter around the world. We can't thank you enough for choosing to volunteer and make a difference for the planet.
