Keep Collier Beautiful is calling on all Collier County residents to join in the annual Bay Days – Great American Cleanup on March 5. Organized in partnership with Keep Collier Beautiful, the Collier County Board of County Commissioners, the City of Naples, and partner organizations, this annual beach cleanup is expected to draw hundreds of volunteers to pick up litter and debris while protecting the local environment and wildlife.

"Collier County is known for many things – among which are our beautiful beaches and our strong advocacy to protect the environment. So, we are calling everyone to join us, bring their friends and families, and be part of the Bay Days – Great American Cleanup, " said Larry Berg, President of the Keep Collier Beautiful Board of Directors.

Interested parties should register to volunteer online, where they can choose from several cleanup sites. Additionally, volunteers are eligible for free beach access parking on the day of the event. Collier County residents with an existing Beach Parking Permit can already access beach parking for free. Participating students can earn up to three volunteer hours for the event, details to redeem are on the registration confirmation. Participants are encouraged to take pictures, share on their respective social media accounts, tag KCB, and use #KCB2022 or #KeepCollierBeautiful to help promote the activity.

SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, responsible for all maintenance and preservation functions for Drive Around the World's 90-foot, 100-ton, 108-passenger ship. Works with MAINTENANCE ADMINISTRATOR, MAINTENANCE ENGINEER, MAINTENANCE MECHANIC, ELECTRICIAN and SHIP'S CAPTAIN to operate a safe ship with constant vigilance regarding safety equipment, procedures, training and briefings.
Coordinate and maintain healthy relationship with US Coast Guard for COI inspections ensuring all inspections are carried and recommendations and worklists discharged with a high degree of professionalism always placing safety as the number one focus.
Directs the planning of biannual haul outs and topside inspections.
Oversee and ensure required materials, supplies, parts and spare parts are stocked and in good condition, working closely with the MAINTENANCE ENGINEER to order and purchase equipment, parts and supplies within an approved budget.
Seek cash and in-kind sponsorships where possible for equipment, supplies and capital purchases by conveying nonprofit materials and mission.

EXPERIENCE
Previous Master Shipwright experience is required
Intimate understanding of wood ships and hull maintenance and preservation for large boats is required.
Trawler experience is a plus.
Must possess mastery understanding of keel and bilge blocks, cradles, and shoring which supports ships in dry dock, marine railways, shipways.
Mastery of subjects and roles, including use of woodworking handtools and power tools, fire suppression pumps and equipment, sea valves, thrusters, anodes, bilge pumps, main engines, generators, thru-hull fittings, sea-water pumps, black/grey tanks, maintenance, such that you can manage all levels of carpenters, painters, plumbers, electricians, mechanics and engineers.

This position requires a highly organized individual with a professional demeanor and proven experience in a development capacity. Experience with fundraising campaigns and events is required. A team building mentality is exemplified in all work done. Demonstrated ability to leverage social media to cultivate supporters who are as engaged as we are in making positive change through DATW programs. Interest in marine science and engineering enrichment is a plus.

Recruit and manage 1-3 GRANT WRITERS
Recruit and manage a small team of sincere end engaged high-integrity FUNDRAISERS
Maintain and expand donor list
Donor relations and communication
Maintain and monitor donor compliance and assumptions for any donor advised funds
Work with DATW accounting to produce donation recognition letters and cash/in-kind gift acknowledgements
Host quarterly meeting with development staff and internal stakeholders
Report on donor relations and the organization's develop initiatives at board meetings 3X a year.
Responsible for overall planning and execution of the organization's annual fundraising event with a target to raise 25% of the annual operations budget.
