The Earth Day Festival offers a wide array of environmental education exhibits, programs and engaging activities. Visitors will learn how they can become better environmental stewards both locally and globally and how to promote conservation through everyday actions. Visitors can also participate in fun, recreational activities which demonstrate ways to enjoy the outdoors while appreciating and learning about the beautiful natural world which surrounds us. Celebrate #EarthDay at Habitat for Humanity ReStore! ♻️♻️ ReStore The Earth Day Event is proudly presented by AIM eCycling. We have need of many extra volunteers to help direct traffic, help with youth activities, general ReStore tasks, and handling materials to be recycled.AIM eCycling will be on site accepting computers, printers, servers, network equipment and personal electronics. Shop 15% OFF storewide at Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Prior purchases excluded. Keep unwanted paint out of local landfills by dropping it off for $1 a gallon and recycle it! Paint requirements: Latex paint only. No oil based paints accepted.
Paint must be in original container. We must be able to read the label. The event also features free popcorn and youth activities.

By picking up litter, we help protect the extensive waterways in and around the park, benefit the creatures that live there, and enhance the natural beauty of this wonderful open space. During National Volunteer Week, you can help enhance and maintain hiking trails at Eagle Peak Ranch! Community service hours may be verified.This is your chance to enjoy a beautiful day outdoors while working with like-minded folks to care for our open spaces. Scenery and wildlife abound with views of Santa Ysabel, Cuyamaca Peak and the San Diego River Gorge!
Volunteers will help to enhance and improve hiking opportunities at Eagle Peak Ranch through a fun and rewarding trail maintenance project. Tasks will include trail surveys, tamping, and digging.
Please wear long pants, close-toed shoes (tennis shoes or hiking boots) and layers. Bring AT LEAST 32 oz. of water to drink and a snack. Please be aware that this is a remote location with no cell service. Also be aware that you may be working near poison oak. All supplies will be provided. Community service hours may be verified.
This project takes place about 1.5 hours by car from central San Diego. The preserve is located on Eagle Peak Road 3 miles before the intersection of Pine Hills Road and Eagle Peak Road. Special instructions on access and parking at the preserve will be provided upon RSVP. Carpool available.

Join Chippewa Watershed Conservancy staff, board members, donors, volunteers and supporters for our 24th Annual Spring Banquet at Bucks Run Golf Club. Silent auction and social hour begin at 5:30 pm with a prime rib and champagne chicken dinner buffet being served at 6:15 pm. Vegetarian options are also available.An outdoor gear raffle and 50/50 raffle will provide additional entertainment. The Banquet is our biggest fundraising event of the year and supports our mission to protect and restore Central Michigan’s land, water and wildlife resources to improve the quality of life for all.
Our keynote speaker of the evening is Dan Eichinger, Director of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Prior to joining the DNR as director, he served as executive director of Michigan United Conservation Clubs, the nation’s most effective state-based conservation organization. In that role, he led MUCC’s return as a driving force for conservation and our outdoor heritage.
Reservations are $60 in advance and $65 at the door. We hope to see you there!
