Charity Farm: We feed those in need with our fresh produce. We use regenerative farming methods that sequester carbon in the soil to help the environment. We teach volunteers about all of this.

We have donated over 100,000 pounds of fresh produce grown using organic methods. Currently, we are donating to Loaves and Fishes, soup kitchens that feed 1800 people per day in 4 cities.

We will be harvesting, weeding, building new planting beds, planting and more. Please bring: hat, water, clean clippers, gloves (if you want) and hand hoe or hoe (if you have one). We have fun, would love your ideas, have many acres to plant and a food forest (modified due to restrictions) to design. We are all volunteers coming together to get fresh air, exercise and contribute to our community with fresh produce for those in need.

Join Natural Restorations and REI Co-op for our 5th annual Green Friday Lower Salt River Cleanup Event at Sheeps Crossing! Please use this link to register: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/444777279817

Start a new tradition and think differently about the Friday after Thanksgiving! Everyone is welcome, including youth volunteers, when they are accompanied & supervised by a parent, guardian, or adult group leader.

Sign-in: 7:30-8:00 a.m. | Safety Briefing: 8 a.m. | Cleanup starts: after safety briefing
Volunteer Paperwork: We will email you volunteer paperwork about a week ahead of time. Please print the form, fill it out, and bring it with you to save time.

We would be happy to sign off on service hours or provide a Confirmation of Volunteer Service letter for youth volunteers at the event.

*Our location along the Lower Salt River is subject to change due to weather or river water levels. We will let everyone know if anything needs to change.

Once the safety briefing and group photo are done, volunteers can spread out along the river and all of the different trails. Volunteers may also head over other Recreation Areas along the river to explore and pick up trash. We will have a dedicated dumpster at Sheeps Crossing so that we can get an accurate weight the trash volunteers remove on Green Friday.

Everyone will meet back at the sign-in area at noon for a free raffle. Everyone will receive a free raffle ticket at sign-in, must be present to win. We have awesome prizes from REI & Parks Project, in addition to NR merch.

What to wear: Check the forecast before you head out so you can be prepared & dress accordingly. Please wear comfortable clothing & shoes that can get dirty, muddy, and possibly wet. Wear long pants, thick-sole & closed toe sturdy shoes for safety (no flipflops/sandals). Wear a hat, sunglasses for eye protection, and sunscreen. It will likely be chilly in the morning and warming up as you start to move around and it heats up. Wearing layers you can remove is helpful.

*If you have water shoes, waders, or an old pair of shoes, this would be a great time to use them. If you prefer to stay on dry land, that's totally fine.

What to bring: please bring a reusable water bottle or hydration backpack. We will have water coolers full of ice water for you to refill your bottle or pack. We will provide gloves, bags, & trash grabbers. If you would prefer to use a bucket, you're welcome to bring a bucket for trash but you will need to walk it to the designated dumpster each time it's full.

We are bringing 2 Gorilla carts to help haul trash bags from the river to the dumpster. If you have a cart you would like to use to help haul trash, bring it (put masking tape with your name & number on any tools you bring).

*If you have any allergies that you carry an epi-pen and antihistamines for, please do not forget to bring them with you. This is a wilderness area along the Lower Salt River so it’s best to prepare for anything.

Snacks: We will have snacks for volunteers. If you have any dietary restrictions, you may want to bring your own snack. You could bring a small cooler in your vehicle with cold beverages and snacks if you'd like.

Tonto Recreation Pass: You do NOT need one to participate in the event! If you plan to stay at the river afterwards, please purchase a Tonto Recreation Pass.

Bathrooms: There are vault toilets open to the public at this location as well as other recreation areas along the Lower Salt River.

Free Volunteer Raffle: We are hosting a free volunteer raffle at noon for participating volunteers. Everyone will receive a raffle ticket at sign-in, must be present to win. We have some awesome prizes from REI, Parks Project, and Natural Restorations. If you or you organization would like to donate prizes, please email Nicole at contact@naturalrestorations.org

NR Gear: We will also have Natural Restorations branded t-shirts, hats, stickers, and Tru Flasks available for a donation. Natural Restorations is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Gilbert, Arizona and 100% of the proceeds go towards our Restoration Programs.

Youth Groups: If you need youth registration paperwork ahead of time for parent/guardian signatures, please email us at contact@naturalrestorations.org and we will email them over to you.

Large Groups: Please have your group leader email us at contact@naturalrestorations.org for a group sign-in sheet to save time the day of the event. The group leader can get everyone in their group signed in then one person can turn the sheets into us at the registration table.

Note on safety & illness: Please help prevent the spread of any illness by staying home if you are sick or experiencing any symptoms. Do not worry about cancelling last minute, we would rather have a smaller turn out and have you join us at future events.

If you have any other questions, please email us at contact@naturalrestorations.org

Join Natural Restorations, Four Peaks Brewing Co., the National Forest Foundation, & the US Forest Service Tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District for the annual Four Peaks Cleanup & Save Our Saguaros Replanting Event

In 2020, the Bush Fire consumed over 193,000 acres, killing an estimated 80,000 saguaro cacti in the Tonto National Forest. Saguaros play a similar role in the Sonoran desert as trees do in our forests, providing food and homes for wildlife. A portion of this region includes over 85 acres of habitat surrounding the base of the Four Peaks Mountains. That's why Four Peaks Brewing Co., the National Forest Foundation, Natural Restorations, and the US Forest Service Tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District have teamed up again to support and plant hundreds of saguaros and other native cacti and plants to restore life on the Tonto.

13th annual Four Peaks Cleanup: We need volunteers to help with the annual Four Peaks Cleanup. Volunteers can explore the area while picking up trash from the trails, main staging area, and cacti replanting area.

Save Our Saguaros 2022: We also need volunteers to help with the annual Save Our Saguaros replanting event. Volunteers will help plant saguaros and other native desert plants along with indigenous grasses that help soil and erosion in the 2020 Bush Fire burn scar at Four Peaks. Our goal is to replant smart to help reduce the chance of wildfires in the future.

Sign-in: 7:00-8 a.m. | Safety Briefing: 8:00 a.m. | Cleanup & Replanting starts: after safety briefing | Lunch & Free Raffle: 12:00p.m.

Take part to the organization of TRIESTECLASSICA music festival for citizens, which in 2023 will take on the title "Horizons"!
“Horizon” indicates, in its most common and direct meaning, the apparent line along which, in an open and flat place, the sky seems to touch the earth or the sea. The Horizons Festival, therefore, first of all wants to represent an instrument of cohesion, connection and union between different cultures, styles, eras and habits of life. Specifically, this objective will find space under different guidelines in the artistic programming of the 2023 Festival and precisely: - Historical horizon, understood as the discovery of Music and Culture of all historical eras, to probe the roots that have led up to the times current; - Stylistic horizon, that is the mixture of different artistic disciplines: it has always been our belief, in fact, that the union of music with other disciplines, especially figurative, allows a more immediate approach with the viewer, who sees himself facilitated in understanding and therefore in the enjoyment of listening to music; - Geographic horizon, that is, the discovery of world music and cultures, with the awareness that the history of these societies is independent and irreducible to the process that led from Greek-Roman antiquity to modern Europe; - Environmental horizon, that is the attempt, through Art and Music, to raise awareness and stimulate interest in the environmental problems that afflict our planet. "Horizon", in fact, in a more figurative meaning, also indicates the particular field in which one can range with the mind, the mentality, the way of thinking: the Festival aims to provide the greatest number of cultural ideas and stimuli so that each spectator can “travel with the mind”.
