The purpose of this event is to educate new and current pet owners how to make more conscientious choices regarding selecting a companion animal that is right for them. Learning the requirements for their care, incorporating exercise to improve the health of both the pet and the guardian.

Come volunteer and have a blast at the 23rd Annual Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup! This spring, be one of nearly 4,000 volunteers joining together across the Milwaukee River Basin to pick up over 100,000 pounds of trash, get outdoors, and help us achieve swimmable, fishable rivers.

Milwaukee Riverkeeper provides the gloves, trash bags, and amazing FREE T-SHIRTS. YOU provide the hands and energy to pick up the interesting and sometimes bizarre trash that finds its way into our beautiful river system.

Join us at this fun alternative Halloween event! At this annual event, participants go on a pumpkin-lit night hike and meet costumed night critters like Spider, Owl, and Bat! They also enjoy crafts, games, food, and a raffle in the park shelter. Volunteers help with set-up before the event (decorating the shelter, putting out pumpkins, etc.) or activities at the event (food service, crafts, games, or raffle ticket sales).

You're invited to join volunteers with Nearby Nature and SOLVE for an Earth Day clean-up of Alton Baker Park and the Whilamut Natural Area! By picking up litter, we help protect the extensive waterways in and around the park, benefit the creatures that live there, and enhance the natural beauty of this wonderful open space. Come prepared for the weather, bring a water bottle, and wear sturdy shoes and something you don't mind getting a little dirty. Gloves and tools provided. Groups welcome!

Opportunity Details

The goal of this Car Wash is to raise funds for the Global Public Health and Medical Brigade organizations at UCF for our mission trip this May in Nicaragua. Global Public Health Brigades will be doing infrastructural work and work to prevent the health issues that plague the underserved community we will be working in by building eco-stoves, water stations and latrines allowing us to reduce the incidence of disease in the area. Global Medical Brigades will be focusing on treating the sick with the guidance of health professionals that work in the area.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help increase the impact these volunteers will make as they participate in this program.

Fin Addict Angler Foundation is partnering with San Antonio River Authority for this exciting event at Branch River Park in Goliad, Texas.

•Our volunteer's role is to assist with one or more of stations including setup and clean-up.
•All materials for our stations will be provided by the foundation.
•Children age of 5 or older are welcomed to join the event and participate while their parents work their shift, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
•Volunteers are required to read the volunteer packet and provide a filled out and signed volunteer form on or before the day of the event.
•Volunteers will need to be available for training the morning of the event.
•All fishing equipment will be provided and no fishing license required.
•Volunteers will receive an event t-shirt from the Fin Addict Angler Foundation and it need to be worn at the event (we will need your t-shirt size).
•Closed shoes, sunscreen, caps and sunglasses are recommended.
•Volunteers please check in at volunteer check-in table by 8 am.

Clinic is August 8, 2020, 9 am to 12 pm Registration is from 9 am to 11 am. Anyone 17 and older will need a fishing license.

This is the 8th year Peace, Love & Planet is participating in the community celebration of Earth Day at Heritage Park, Farmington Hills, Michigan. For the past 5 years, Kohls team members have volunteered to help children create various art work from repurposing tennis balls into bugs, t-shirts into re-usable grocery bags and painting rain barrels. This year we are promoting food appreciation and partnering with the Mi. Agriculture Department to plant seedlings. Our goal is to inspire healthy eating habits and families to grow gardens.
There will be over 22 vendors offering activities and advice on how to lead an eco-friendly life style.
