Join us during National Volunteer Week from April 10-16 to kickoff spring with a free clean-up for elderly, veterans, and disabled individuals across the USA through I Want to Mow Your Lawn Inc. We are seeking a group of passionate volunteers to help us make a difference in the lives of those who are most in need. The goal of this activity is to provide a free spring clean-up service for elderly, veterans, and disabled individuals who may not have the physical ability or resources to do so themselves. The service will include lawn mowing, trimming, and other basic yard maintenance tasks to help improve the quality of life for these individuals and their families.
This volunteer opportunity is important because it allows us to give back to those who have served our country and contributed to our communities, as well as support those who may not have the means to maintain their own property. By volunteering, you will not only help to improve the appearance of their homes, but you will also help to create a safer and more welcoming environment for them to live in.
For corporate clients of Benevity, this volunteer opportunity provides a meaningful way to engage employees and give back to the community. It allows employees to participate in a volunteer activity that has a direct impact on the lives of others and supports a cause that aligns with their company's values. Additionally, Benevity's platform can make it easy for employees to track their volunteer hours and receive matching donations from their employer, further amplifying the impact of their efforts.
Join us for this rewarding volunteer opportunity and help make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.

As UCP, we band together every Saturday to clean and satanize spaces that are overrun by trash and debris. Most times areas that are occupied by our unhoused neighbors. We work hand in hand with them to dispose of any and all debris. We have found that 90% of the debris we clean have come by way of illegal dumping. These efforts also allow us to build trust within our unhoused communities and conduct targeted case needs assessments as to better assist our unhoused neighbors with services and resources. The goal of these efforts is to clean up our community and assist our unhoused that otherwise do not have the tools or means to clean at this capacity. On average, we remove 1.2 tons of debris a week!We post regular volunteer led cleanups on our website for signup. to join, please visit: www.urbancompassionproject.org, and click on our upcoming events tab.
We also have opportunities open for mutual aid distribution, where we go out into our community and provide our less fortunate with item ranging from a bottle of water to a sleeping mat.
