Once again Friends of Rogers will be holding our annual Earth Fest at Rogers Environmental Education Center in Sherburne, NY. This free event is festive, informative, and fun! This year’s focus is to celebrate our connection with the earth, learn how to live a sustainable lifestyle, and reduce our carbon footprint. We will have fun and meaningful activities for children, refreshments, live music, and canoe/kayak demos with community participation. Additionally, we plan to offer exhibits on alternative energy, climate change, green building design, and green living. As a special treat, the Ross Park Zoomobile will be here from noon - 3 pm. Throughout the day, we will need volunteers to assist us with activities, monitoring exhibits, tree and shrub giveaway, canoe/kayak try-outs, refreshments, set-up and clean-up. Events like this depend on volunteer help! Please consider joining us as a volunteer this year to help make this event happen. It’s always fun and the community looks forward to it!
